I also had no idea they had #5 pads for the front, what is the part #?
Anyway I will be trying the Vogtland springs with #4 pads all around to see how that works ,stay tuned.

I have the same problem now. Especially when I had the H&R springs. You can roll the fenders but I won't guarantee that it won't rub on the front drivers side. The rolling of the fenders took care of my problem in the rear minus the spare tire on hard launches.

sounds like airplane
i had this on my eibach pro kit springs with the #1 pads- it went 95% of the way away when i switched to my new tires, they must have a slightly different sidewall shape.

Depends on the tire you are using on the 18" mono's and that side will also naturally sit a little lower when you sit and drive the car. I guarantee if you had the 17"s on you'll have no rubbing whatsoever.

Perhaps this may be a shot in the dark but I think these questions are worth asking.
Coil springs are rated for various weight requirements and most specially for the w202 C class.
Did you check the weight rating for your H&R springs? Did you double check that the part # for the front
springs are the same? Are your springs for a C43?
#5 spring pads seems to be quite thick and one would think that having a thick pad like yours would
be enough not to be rubbing.
I too have an aftermarket performance springs (Eibach pro-kit) in my w202 with #3 spring all around and have not
experienced any kind of rubbing like yours.

ok, i went out today for an allignment and i noticed that my left tire is sticking out more than the right side. i think this is the reason why it rubs. when i installed my springs, i didn't notice any spacers..now why the heck should the tire stick out?
p.s.: my ball joint and lower control arm bushing needs replacement- could this be the cause?
