Snapped the pulley in 2 pieces

So the other day I am sitting in my car and noticed the battery light come on. Thought it was interesting, so I reved the motor thinking the alternator needed a kick in the ***. So started to drive noticed there was no Power Steering. So I call my friend (mb mechanic) and he says the belt took a crap. Get the car home and noticed the belt was shredded to pieces and the upper pulley on the motor was broken into 2 pieces. Has this happened to anyone else??
So ended up taking it all apart, fixing and putting back together. Next thing to do is the oil cooler seals. Oh fun times.

I am having the same pulley fixed right now. Going to pick her up right after work, woo hoo! The bearing was going bad in mine and I fortunatley had it fixed before it really Fd something up. I had looked at those Evo sport pulleys but I was afraid that it would do something bad to the car so I didnt pursue it.

Good luck with your ride though.

Oh yeah, raced an ) 08' Honda Accord V6 last night and won!

Might as well get the AMS C43 performance crank pulley if you are replacing it.

E\/osport pulleys are not bad for the car, they aren't even technically related to the crank pulley at all so its a totally different issue.

It cost me $75 in parts with the dealer discount and 1 hour of time with my friend who is a MB mechanic.

Today I am replacing the o-rings in the oiler cooler.
