Resonator delete on C43 ? any BTDT's

Since no response's to Zo6Beaters question about delete's on a C36, has anyone done one on the C43, and did it drone at hwy speeds ?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

I used to own a 1999 C43 and I deleted my resonators. It did not drone very much on the hwy. It gave off a nice low tone that was present through out the RPM range.

Cool !

I'm going to remove the resonator instead of the AMG muffler for now on my C36.

Since there's no smog here in upstate NY, I'll probably go with Magnaflows no weld race cats before summer.

There's gotta be some noticeable gains there.

Thanks

I have been told that a magnaflow without resonators will resonate really bad inside the cabin of the car

sounds like airplane
i'd leave the stock muffler as it is very free flowing

I have free flowing dual 2.5" from pre-cats back to a y pipe in the stock location directly prior to stock muffler. No droning/sounds like it could be stock to me (but it balanced the sound of the eaton out a bit)

I was worried about the droning w/ the Magnaflow, as it does a little on my S4 which is not a daily driver.

That car has violent acceleration, so its noisy regardless

Maybe the race cats into the stock muffler then is the way to go.

I love the sound of the Eisenmann exhausts some of the e55 guys are running.

They seem to do the resonator delete as well as pre-cat delete into the Eisenmann.

Sounds like an angry junkyard dog. Would love to come close to that.

Just did mine last week at AMERICAN MUFFLER in San Diego. It's great and not annoying at any rpm.

I highly doubt that you will be able to pass a smog test without your cats. When I had my C43 all I did was delete the resonators and keep everything else factory. It gives a nice low tone without any droning in the cabin. Where is it leaking from?
