When your buyer is ready to pay for the car, have him/her meet you at the bank who's financing the car. Have them write a check / funds transfer to the bank (who legally holds the title), and the bank will deposit the remainder in your account.

If the check bounces, lesson #2 on selling a car will follow.

I don't get it still have payments on a car which is almost 10yrs old? The c43 is only worth about 10k. Good thing my car CLK55 is payed off which I bought used early this year.

So maybe he is making payments for the 14-15 grand he probably bought the car for? What is hard to figure out about that? Way to be a jackass though

Well, not everyone bought a c43 in 1999 OR has 10 gran laying around like maybe you do/did. I bought mine 6 months ago which I had to get a loan so I too "still owe." make sense now?

Werd, I bought mine for just over 26k about 3 years ago, and I'm still making payments (though only at 2% interest )......but I guess this is just too hard of a concept to understand

im only 16 and can afford 7k. I think a 23 year old should be able to afford 10k.

IMO,

but either way. C43 is better

I got to give you young guys credit for owning a nice car at that age. But not worth making payments on a old car with high mileage.

Did anyone say anything about high mileage? (maybe I missed something, honestly)

Back to the OT... I like 'em both. The C36's qualities are still as desirable today to many of us... worldwide. The C43 took all those and elevated it to another level (and the Euro-only w202 C55 even took it further!). Both deserve to be praised in good terms. Like others, I'd take either one of the two anytime anyday...

You are right on that one. Give us credit, end of story! I would not want to buy a new car other than german. But a new model is way to much money for many or few whatever the case. I personally could care less about the high milage as long as it runs great, and the c43 does just that! And some people would give you "credit" for whichever cars you own due to this or that. But that's what YOU could affored. I did not see anyone judging you so why you judge us?(rhetorical question)

^ werd....I didn't buy my car to impress anyone, but I DID buy it because it was cheap performance, in a stylish package....and German no less. I don't think I will ever buy a new car, because it is just an enormous waste of money IMHO. Just ask the guys who went out and bought late model w211 E55's They are lucky now to even get 40k for what was an 80k car only a year or two ago.

hes right. its alot easier when the parents give you a nice jumpstart in life. i have no debt, no student loans, and because of the lack of financial load, i was able to buy my c43 outright (13k) with cash, of course. im 24 and in the same boat, i want a nice fast car thats stylish and suits my needs... c43!

Yeah I was thinking about getting the new C63 which goes for over $60k. But in 5 years its probably go for less then $30k. The 02 CLK55 was overpriced $70k back then. I'm very happy I payed $20k 6yrs later with low mileage.
