when i read above and someone asked (probably you) if it could adjust timing i jumped in with the info i had about adjusting timing with existing products. It was not clarified that you wanted to advance... the comment i quoted above is pretty harsh given the situation, give me a break.

Man, this board is getting touchy. I'm glad this was brought up by both speedy and tophast. My car has never been silky smooth in terms of A/F on road conditions. WOT is fine but Id like to complete the package by being able to tune the values of all conditions. Running rich as a safety just isn't the best.
I'm going to send an email over to unichip and see what they say. I hope speedy can get some positive answers from the other one too. its only natural that the F/I guys are going to jump all over this if it works out.

i emailed unichip with a lot of questions the first night this all came up and no one responded.
my list of timing adjustment options is simply the splitsecond fi-c. Apparently, it is only capable of taking away timing (which is the only thing i would have desired to do so never thought about it anyways). It wasn't that i couldn't come up with a product, just that i didn't really think about your usage nor am i really that smart.

well, it's definitely true. I have a science/physics background and a high IQ. I only have the automotive experience that i have (randomly gained through modding the cars i've basically randomly gained- and partially guided by what has happened to break while i've owned those cars). I know i don't know nearly what i could and expect to spend the rest of my life feeling that way about cars. I'd like to think that most others here feel the same way. If i knew everything i definitely wouldn't be on a forum. If you knew that much more than me you wouldn't be posting in this thread asking questions. it's the process of discussing these things and sharing the information each of us do have (even when it's not exactly what someone else is looking for) that helps us all.
