C43 Body Kit?
I have the opportunity to buy any parts and the complete body kit from a 2000 C43, front, back and side skirts. Can someone tell me what it is worth? Thanks!

It is currently on the car which is black with only 33k on it. It is the oem kit. I would have to have it painted silver to match my car. Thanks!

I can't believe it either. He bought the car in California and shipped it to Canada and cannot insure it in Canada, until it passes an inspection that must be done by the California state patrol. He does not want to invest any more money in to the car so he is deciding weather or not to part it out. I may try to purchase the entire car from him and transport it to California to have it inspected and bring it back to Canada. I am just worried that it may not pass. I am trying to gather as much info as I can on the car. It would be a shame to see a car that is so rare (25 cars shipped to the U.S. in 2000, I believe) parted out.

It sounds like the owner is saying an insurance company requires a state agency in a foreign country to inspect a vehicle that's right there in front of them. And this is on a rare vehicle. I believe the only thing California currently requires is a smog test.

The vehicle I am told is still in the U.S. next to the Canadian boarder. The owner was told that to insure the vehicle in Canada, it would need an inspection from it's state of origin. The owner purchased the car somewhere other than California but states that it needs a California state patrol inspection. You could be correct about the smog test as I know that California's pollution laws are far more strict. He says that the car is in great condition other than a few dings on the hood. I am trying to get the VIN# from him to check out some info on the car. Carfax won't tell you much if it was ever fixed privately with cash, but I know a 30 year Benz mechanic that I would pay to inspect the entire vehicle before I purchased it. If the car was modified outside of California then it probably won't pass the inspection and it will take more money to modify it back. I'll let you guys know what his intentions are.

he needs to sell the car altogether those 2000's really are great cars and super rare. not to mention how low the mileage is, he could get over 20k for that beast

Here is the latest on the car! I will be getting the Vin# tonight from the owner and he has now told me that the car was in an accident and that the air bags deployed. In my opinion, the car might be better off parted out because if it fails the inspection in California it is worthless. What do you guys think? What parts other than the body kit would be worth getting for my c230 komp.? Do the Xenon lights have compatible connections? Thanks for everyones input! While we are on the subject of parts, does anyone know where I can get genuine Bosch clear corners that are not on backorder like Bekkers?
