M104 lightweight crankshaft pulley (AMS)
this pretty much sums it all up! You make it clear you are in over your head and don't know what you are talking about!

You're nineteen years old, and you post a base line dyno chart that is dated when you were twelve years old ???
Not to burst your bubble, but you don't have a rare vehicle and with 197K miles it's probably only worth about $6K on an extremely good day.
Sad if this is your life...
You sound like a nice kid, but seem to be caught up in smoke and mirrors of going fast.
Have you ever tracked your C36 or any other car, be it in a straight line or on a road course?
If you truly are one who appreciates the marque then educate yourself, learn from those who have owned Mercs long before you were born....
I own five Mercs all with value as they are low production and have low mileage...
I paid $53K for a new 1988 300CE in May of 1988, still own it with 62K miles and just had it twin turbo'd last year.
But I still have a life
Again I'm going to repeat myself I said it drove like a C43 I love every C43 but I'm not saying it's faster than one understand that, how do whoever was offended know what I meant when I said it drove like a C43. I could have meant it's faster I could have meant it's slower I could have meant it's the same, what I'm saying is the replier could have in a normal way asked me have I driven a C43 or any other question for that matter. And I would have explained myself further if I had caused a confusion.
And for that matter the dyno that I took the test happens to be very precise dyno, dyno dynamics is a very well and used throughout dyno. Does it matter that the graph looks old what does that have to do with anything, I don't use dyno's that may show blown up numbers so we can all feel good ohh look at the fake numbers my car makes woopdy doo!! No I could have used many other dyno's in the area, but I wanted one that will show correct and accurate numbers. The test was done by a trained professional whos has been doing dynos for a long time on very high end cars, and the test was read after 3 runs to be exact. So hopefully that clears things up.
Some of you people have a major chip on your shoulder, as a casual MBworld visitor I am constantly amazed at the personal attacks and nasty replies to posts.
The fervor of the C43 fanboys is intense!
They are both great cars, and both have their good & bad points
The C36 was the first official AMG-Mercedes joint venture, and is largely hand finished - which makes it a lot more unique. The engine is a very nice stout unit - 276bhp, 385nm is hardly gutless for 1993 (Europe release)
The C43 is much less bespoke - due to this I would imagine parts would be easier to come across/cheaper, but is more powerful than the C36 and has newer technology. Of course its quicker than the C36, its simple physics, but by most accounts there isnt a huge amount in it - 26bhp & 35nm is not a huge amount of power so this isnt really suprising.
At the end of the day, just chill guys, the Dr seems to have released a nice product that produces good gains, and has dyno results to back it up, what more do you need?
I am more than willing to post both my errors and my successes with modifying my car and have been doing so for as long as i've owned it. There aren't all that many people actually modifying any of these cars in a significant manner and I doubt the overall forum populace would prefer I didn't share the knowledge i've gained (mostly by trial and error) with the car.
I should have never got caught up in this argument. I have absolutely nothing against C36s and have many times considered owning one. My issue is strictly with this forum being used for advertising when that is against the rules, takes up space etc. (and may mislead people). I still stand strong on the point i've made time and time again on this thread- that this thread represents an advertising attempt!
I'm sorry if i hurt any feelings of the guys with C36s and made myself look bad- but 90% of what i said wasn't personal and i'll stand behind it as much as possible (and i really would welcome any taker of my $5k challenge as a friend!)

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
who did that?

You know to me something built by a German man is basically the best, I love everything thats German. And I drive an AMG tuned benz which makes that feeling even more worth while. There are 2 other reasons really that I love driving a Mercedes-Benz but if I said them I'd probably get booted off the forum. And hey if you don't like the pulley, all I can say is hate it with all the heart you have, or if you think me and the DR. have this little plan on selling it I really don't care because pulley or not I love the heck out of this car and that is what a Mercedes-Benz is all about. And hey SILENCE if me or the Dr. (which he had nothing to do with) sharing how much this item is a great upgrade for your car is marketing then I'm sorry, but it sounds like that because I wanted to express what a great difference it made to my car.
