is a 2k c43 any faster\better then 98 and 99

I also heard the transmission was upgraded on a 2k model?
like it was made stronger?
is this car quicker then a 98 and 99 model, Im waiting for the right moment to buy a c43 as some of you know
so Im deciding which one to go with, I know 2k is hard to find but if its not quicker I probably wouldnt buy it coz Im planing to supercharge my c43 and I wouldn't supercharge a 2k model because its so rare, I don't want to cause engine problems and what not

First of all "Tiptronic" is the name Porsche gave to their new invention in 1989. The Mercedes-Benz equivalent is called TouchShift.

It's far superior to the normal slotted gate (invented by MB). Those who say otherwise have probably never driven an MB with one.

Disagree, slotted gate you have total control, and I have found response time to be better too, much prefer slotted gate to touchshift.

I would just offer the following from a previous thread, detailing the difference between MB Touchshift behavior pre and post 2005. Pre-2005 it was a one for one relation with a slotted shifter, in that each 'touch' up or down produced the same result as a single move in the slot. 2005 and on, the behavior was much changed:
