foul smell after race

my car seems to be smelling kinda like a burny oily smell, after i drive it hard, raced guy today, i was 3 people heavy, he was da only one in the car, kicked his ***, i got up to 110MPH. anyway, i got home and got out the car, it was smelling, only a little from the exhaust and somehow it got into the cabin..so my question is is my car running too rich? my buddy has the same car as me, and regardless how he drives it he get WAY BETTEER MPG THAN ME..and i already changed my fuel filter..after he races in his car, his doesn't smell or nothing..any ideas?

Have

you checked for oil pushing out the head gasket or timing cover on the old M104?

clean it and look for leaks.

this explains why you got a ride in that other C36 that was "reflashed' or whatever and thought it was legit for a 50 hp gain... lol. I bet you need new o2s?

Cars sometimes smell after driving quickly (sometimes known as Autobahn Aroma), but 110 is not that fast...it should not smell. Usually it is more of a tire smell though, unless you were burning off deposits.

Faulty 02 sensors can result in this. I just replaced four of them on the SL.

none
Next time you shut the car off after a good run take the oil fill cap off and see if you can smell the crankcase vapors. They should be distinct. If it smells like what you discribe than ohlord may be right and you have a breach somewhere in the crankcase sealing. Pan, valve covers, PCV hoses, etc..About a year ago I was running an open breather type setup on my crankcase and you could smell it easily after any hard driving or sitting in slow traffic. Common on old muscle cars and such.

It could also be the o2's though. See where the smell is comming from. Tailpipe, motor, etc...

O2 sensors are

100k interval items.Get it on a real time scanner and find out what values they are showing and if they were that bad you should have a cel.

if you are running that rich a/f your cats may be bad.

we are all just guessing the simple solutions for $#$%s sake- you need to follow ohlords advice.
