Haha, ya we get emails on a daily basis regarding the 63s, everyone wants us to produce parts for them at a reasonable price. Perhaps early 2009, but for now there are more than enough projects to keep us busy. More info will be posted regarding C63 components as time comes. thanks

Thanks Jturkel

on avg between 20-25HP/TQ depending on the level of mods on a 55 AMG NA engine. In conjunction with the high flow 2nd cats upwards of 35HP can be achieved. On the 43s the gains are slightly less but still impressive nonetheless. Its not quite as much as the long tubes, but granted, the long tubes are significantly more complicated & expensive and are not 100% bolt on. For they money these are a great cost effective alternatives to the long tubes. The best headers I've seen on the market are still Hooleys new headers, they definitely impress even myself (and that's saying alot) but aren't really necessary for the NA cars, they are best suited to the FI applications where all out max power is necessary.

The headers are made in TX. They are T304 stainless, TIG welded w/ CNC machined flanges for maximum strength. Currently, we are not making C63 headers yet. However, once they are released there will be an official announcement (not until early 2010). Thanks

Aren't there more C63s produced than C43s currently still in existence?

Sincity,

A C43 forum seems an odd place to complain that a vendor is making parts for a C43 (rather than a C63).

These are 100% bolt on replacements for the stock units and do not eliminate primary O2 sensors or primary cats and are 100% street legal as they do not remove any of the stock emissions equipment.

Also, our Stage 2 Performance kit is also available which includes our high performance power pulley as will for a discounted price. Thanks

To be honest, the throttle body is the very LAST modification you should ever do. Only after you have done, headers, pulley, software & high flow cats will it yield any decent results. Otherwise, it is not recommended on a lightly modded car.

I checked the site and the headers are beautiful and look like they will work on my V8 Crossfire. I am currently running C43 manifolds with O2 bungs added to them. Will you add the O2 bungs?

Hello,

Wow, that V8 crossfire is a nice conversion, congrats. Unfortunately, since the OEM headers do not have an O2 bung there ours do not. However you can always add the bungs in yourself. Why don't you put the O2 bungs further down stream in the exhaust system?

Yes those are the same manifolds and it should work fine. Please contact us via email for the specific details. Thanks

If you like its up to you . We do offer dyno discount for anyone willing to dyno on the C43s, this is only offered on the first few dynos after that the special offer ends. We do ask that all dynos be done on Dyno Dynamics dynos as they are the most accurate & precise.

If interested contact us for more details via email.

Wow. I stopped following your thread on the Crossfire board quite a while back when it seemed your progress had stalled. Cool to see you didn't let the project die.

Just took two years to figure out how to do it as well as some cash. It should be running tomorrow. Almost had it running last week but had to have the firmware in the 2002 CL500 ECU updated. It wasn't recognizing the shifter and therefore couldn't confirm that it was in park which kept it from cranking over. Everything I did would apply to putting a V8 into any V6 car. As soon as I have it running I would like to add cams, headers and high flow cats.

sounds like airplane
has anyone installed them with handtools etc. yet?

I'd be interested in doing the dynos etc. (if I qualify) if they are something i can comfortably install myself. Keep in mind that although I've done all the work on my car (and installed headers on a few other vehicles) I'm really f'ing lazy and I'm pretty happy with the car as-is.

so- how tough is the install?

Are these still available for the C43? I don't see the application on the AMS web site.

Hello,

The C43 line has been dropped due to ridiculously low demand. Unfortunate, but at least we gave it a try to help out the C43 community. The C43 power pulley is still available though. Feel free to view the website for more details.

Thanks,
~AMS~
