fs feeler.. 96 c36 w/ 30k miles
we're contemplating selling our c36.. just one too many cars. first owner. will have brand new brake pads. completely stock. all maintenance documents. always garaged.
as it is not significantly urgent for us to move the car, wondering what kind of interest there is.

why give it up now after 14 years? Surely you have other cars to consider in
giving up (or selling). I'd say keep it unless you're in dire need for some $$
but from your statement you're not in that situation.
Whether it smells brand new or not, buyers will still have in their mind that it's a 14 year old car.
Good luck with your decision.
Can you post some pictures. Thanks.

hmm.. no pics, will have to wait to wash it. while it certainly is an exciting car and well cared for, just feels like i might find a good home who will want to drive it more. plus, family is expanding.

^ I need a new car
I'm looking for a C43......but I suppose I could go for for a C36...they had less problems (especially tanny), right?
How much are you looking to get for it?

Yeah agre with Flynavy.....I'm sure it is a beautiful example but in America AMG's are possibly the fastest depreciating vehicles on the road. Angers me that cars just as rare like a 1972 Challenger can fetch 40 grand easy from the American public. Unfortunatley what people pay for things is what make them worth what they are worth. In this case AMG C36's are a $15,000 car in my eyes that sells for $6,000, I'd hold onto it unless your ready to part with it to someone who will treasure it.

Dont think it would look much different than a higher mileage example.
Ones with about 100k miles are selling for 6k or so... so I think with only 36k miles you might get 9-10k on a good day. Beyond that it would be hard

That low mileage example will be prized by someone who wished they could've owned one when they were new, and now they've become well healed and thought of the C36 again. They will be looking for the VERY BEST car for sale, not the cheapest. $15K IS cheap compared to other collector cars, so your target customer might not even blink at that price for the right car. That's NOT the guys and girls on this forum who are giving you the low numbers more in line with a 4th owner car with 120K miles on it.
You might put it up on Hemmings, Auto Trader, or even Auto Week for what you want to get for it and see if there are any nibbles.
Just my humble opinion.
