new c43 owner

Picked her up on 1/30/10 from Sinyo1. A little bit late, but here's a few pics. Love the 43, gotta do a photoshoot with the c230 sometime  I also wanna change up some of the mods. My biggest issue is the crazy amount of rubbing on the fronts when i do a decently heavy turn, along with the rears rubbing if i give it 75% throttle from a dig.

Nice man, welcome to the club!
Sittin pretty, hopefully you can work out the rubbing issues-though the car has a great stance!

Photo from the rear is my favourite

Thanks everyone

First thing i'm going to do tomorrow is install a 35w 6000k hid fog set when i get it. Anyone know if there's any certain complications in installing these, and/or how the best way to install them is?

My friend installed his fog light set on his car (not a benz) by removing the wheel fender cover, but i believe jacking the car up and removing the undercarriage cover would be easier and more efficient. any ideas?

not sure if it was the most efficient way , but i got to my fogs by pulling off the front bumper (which was pretty easy, actually).

nice ride! are those C230 sport wheels?

Hmm.. Front bumper, eh? Haha, that's what my same friend ended up doing to install his clear corner bulbs! How many clips/screws do c43 frt bumpers have to remove it?

They're lorinser rs6 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 rears

nice. yeah, those wheels didn't look like 17's to me (which the C230 sport ones are). they look cool.

front bumper is held on by 4 nuts located around the license place area. open the hood and get down there with your eyes, you can see them. also, the lower engine cover thingy is clipped to the bottom edge of the bumper, in two spots. remove those and slide the bumper off the side rails. i'm no MB master tech, but that's how i did it.

Looks good. I picked one up myself in Dec. It is the replacement for my C36 that was totalled last October. I guess I'll have to post pics soon. I'm having rubbing issues when hitting bumps at the front. Running Eibachs and W210 E55 monos. 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear. I'll probably try replacing spring pads first. I was told car is sitting on #1 pads.

Clear corners will be on friday night. I took off the splash guard/inner fender cover to get to the fogs. Took a good two hours, but i don't really regret it. Great learning experience.

So now i've got 6000k lows and fogs

Did you replace just the bulbs or the whole fog lamp itself?

can you explain a little more how you set up HIDs in your fogs? or did you just get HID style 6000k halogen bulbs? i have been wanting to enhance my lighting, but i know that just jamming an HID set up into a reflector housing causes major glare and can possibily blind oncoming traffic. i am intersted, let me know man

That car is CLEAN...I drove it a few months ago. It does need taller pads in the front for sure. I also think more stretchiness will fix the rub in the back issue. If I remember the spoiler is a stick on...no holes.

Just HID Fogs. New fog lamps are expensive!

They're actual HID fog lights, not the halogen "hid style" ones. There isn't much glare considering that the fogs are still aimed somewhat down, AND they are frosted. You'll get more glare from low beams than from the fogs. I just drove yesterday with both of them on following my friend, and he said they looked good without much glare at all.
