Koni or Bilstein Sport (part number confirmation)

So what is the consensus on the right shocks to get for the C43, Koni or Bilstein Sport, to pair with the H&R sport springs?

In addition, I would also like to confirm the correct part numbers for each.

Which of the following set are the correct Koni p/n's for the C43?

Front - 26 1575Sport (internally adjustable)
Rear - 26 1576Sport (internally adjustable)
These are listed on koni-na.com as p/n for w208 clk but they are listed on purems.com as p/n for C43. If anyone from purems.com is reading this, could you confirm the reason for using the w208 p/n for the C43 even though these require removing the shocks for adjustments?

Front - 8041 1315 Sport (externally adjustable)
Rear - 8041 1316 Sport (externally adjustable)
These are listed on koni-na.com as p/n for w202 C220, C230, C280, C36 and not specifically listed for C43. These can be adjusted with a knob and without removing the shocks.

Which of the following set are the correct Bilstein Sport p/n's for the C43?

Front - F4-B36-1854-H0
Rear - F4-B36-1855-H0
These are listed on bilsteinus.com as p/n's for w202 180 / 200 / 220 / 230K / 250D / 280T and not specifically listed for C43.

Front - F4-BE3-2599-H0
Rear - F4-B36-1855-H0
These are listed on bilsteinus.com as p/n's for w208 CLK 320 / 430 / 55AMG.

1995 C 36 AMG; 1992 W124 300E (M103 Ex Mosselman TT KIT) was 320hp @10psi now stock :(
w208 will fit w202, i have the bilstein sport
Front - F4-B36-1854-H0
Rear - F4-B36-1855-H0
and the fronts as i have heard will be softer than your stock C43 shocks.

Thanks jayrasheed, so are the fronts for W208 the same stiffness or stiffer than the C43 stock fronts?

Anyone here tried Koni's? Whats your impression?

i cant say man, really, so many different views. i like the bilst but they are slightly soft on the compression and stiff on rebound so they work well with stiff springs as they can keep the tire in contact with the road under many conditions where other shocks simply give up

12' W204 C63 AMG coupe "T-Rex", 12' W451 Smart Fortwo Pulse (99' W202 C43 AMG sold)
H&R Cup Kit

Never heard of such a thing and went to check the H&R factory site. Found the references for all MB suspension upgrades but nothing in the way of a Cup Kit for the C43 (probably too old a car and not enough sales potential). Found also the technical references regarding the specific springs for the C43 (TUV approval certificate) but its written in German, but its understandable... (I don't speak the language)

Checked in the Bilstein official site and didn't find any references for any shocks for either C36 or C43. Hmmm, weird as I'm sure I have something at home. Will have to check and get back here later

So after checking at home have the following reference n°s for both C32 and C43. Only exist in B8 type shock:
Front: BI-DBB361854
Rears: BI-DBB361855
Hope that helps...

pretty sure I ran across an H&R cup kit for the C43 as well. Not sure what website it was but I do remember there being 2 H&R kits for the C43 one of them being the cup kit.

Here is what I was referring to. Not sure if this is for US spec only.

Well, looks like this could be for US specs C43's only. Nothing like that in Europe.

Sorry to bring a thread back from the dead, but no one ever confirmed if these were the right part numbers for the Koni externally adjustable shocks:

Front - 8041 1315 Sport (externally adjustable)
Rear - 8041 1316 Sport (externally adjustable)
These are listed on koni-na.com as p/n for w202 C220, C230, C280, C36 and not specifically listed for C43. These can be adjusted with a knob and without removing the shocks.

Will these work, or do/can we use the ones for a clk55, etc?

I just went through the same thing was really wanting to go the Koni way
but I think if they had the Edfc like Tein would have been sweet, I think adjusting the front is no problem but adjusting the rear would be a pain.
EDFC is a controller that has little motor mounted on each shock and you adjust it while driving and front or rear can be done at 32 different settings
Then the other thing is Koni in never in stock.
I tried Kyb but changed to Billy B8 within a month, an could not be happier.

I'd prefer the Koni's and the adjustability really, so I'll try and track those down first.
