So when I bought my 36, one of my rear fog lamps was out, so this morning i decided to quit being lazy and replace the bulb....only to figure out 15 mins later it wasnt the bulb...or the housing...it was that Mercedes Benz had never connected a wire to the housing of the fog lamp haha

So now what? Anyone know where I can buy and how much the whole assembly for our brake lights, fog lights, reverse lights, etc. costs? I'm going to look into trying to gerry rig something if this part is to hard to find/to costly

Are you sure that the rear foglights light up both sides? Here the fog light works on the rear left side only.

its only on the left side man
if u light up both sides, on a foggy night the car behind u will find it hard to know when u hit the brakes
for in a fog the fog light is so bright it will create a strog red washout the masks the brake light.

That looks like a DIY "special". It certainly is not a factory option and as mentioned by Jayrasheed will probably induce more driver confusion than the security intents of having a rear fog light.

I have wanted to do this mod and I'm sure you ask why. I'm thinking if I have some clown on my *** I could switch my rear fogs on and if both lit up it would look like I hit my brakes, essentially brake checking without the rear end danger IM EVIL

OBVIOUSLY but then you are actually braking and if the a$$hole is close enough he might run into you. Using the dual fogs would give the illusion of brake lights without the risk of being rear ended by the idiot not paying attention.
