The wheels are on sale on a local auction site. Looked in very good condition (pictures) and I checked the sizes: 7,5 x 17 ET 37 front and 8,5 x 17 ET 30 on the rears. Perfect fit for the C43 and I'm very tempted, but the missus feels it's not necessary. Dilemma, dilemma

Do these wheels stick out a lot or not? PJmak said he changed because the fronts poked out too much. Don't like that either. IMO the rim must be flush with the tyre to look good. Can't go and see them because I'm on the south side of the Alps...

Here are some quick snaps I took just now - thank me later, I got up early to make lunch and took some time to head outside to shoot them! ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Also a gratuitous shot of my S2000's front brakes....

Nice pics and nice brakes too
I know the US version of the C43 is higher in suspension, but yours looks good for some off roading

Heh, my car is actually a Canadian market car, with dual KMH and MPH speedo. I would have brought one in from the US, but they won't let it in - something to do with child seat anchors! Doh. Much cheaper in the US.
Suspension is in the works! I have the Speedbenz camber arms, Vogtland springs, K-Mac front camber/caster kit and a pair of new rear track rods. But no time yet to install them...for the summer, my fiancee is driving the car, so I will probably leave it as is. The plan is to acquire an LR3 for her, hopefully in the fall, and then I will revert to the AMG for the winter. Lowering then. Oh, and I am doing a deal to get a set of 18" Carlsson 1/6 Evo wheels. Yes!

In the future, I would like to do the following mods: H&R springs and Bilstein B8's. I have the Speedybenz camber arms but not yet installed. Would also like to have some 18" monos and a 355mm 6 piston Brembo upgrade, and if it was also possible a 5,5 V8. Problem here is if you modify the car, you need official homologated parts with German TUV type or EEC approval. Sometimes it's difficult getting good parts.

Some of the restrictions suck, as I'm sure there are no differences substantially between the different market cars. The big issue was bumper regulations though, but those changed a couple years back. So now we can import to Canada nearly everything from the US. So we've seen some late model Evo 7s, 8s and 9s here now, which is cool.
In Alberta we don't do any emissions testing, so I could rip out the cats and run around like that...I did it before on my Saab. Other provinces are more restrictive though...
The big plus for importing cars to Canada is the 15 year rule. Anything over 15 years old is exempt from any sort of federal inspection. There are plenty of R32 Skylines around here now, and the R33s are just starting to show up. That's one advantage we have as opposed to the US...
I can pick up an R32 GTR for maybe C$12k here...and I think some guys have brought in mint-ish C36s from Japan too. Lots of Japanese import Mk4 Supras and FD body RX7s showing up now too.

To finish with, I probably will go for 18" Monos. Found also this info from a very reputable source ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
AMG alloy wheels
AMG alloys are named in Roman numerals. They are sometimes preceded by "style" (English) or "styling" (German), but we choose to omit this because it can sometimes be interpreted as being associated with fake replica wheels which you should NEVER fit to a GENUINE Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
AMG I alloy wheels - 5 spoke
AMG II alloy wheels - 5 holes
AMG III alloy wheels - 5 thinner spokes
AMG IV alloy wheels - 5 twin spokes
AMG V alloy wheels - 14/16/22 spokes
AMG VI alloy wheels - 5 spokes with central channels
