Thoughts on projector head lights?

I am toying with the idea of projector head lights, ESPECIALLY after seeing Aruss's Range Rover head light conversion. I have seen another member on here who had some but I can't recall who it was, I do remember they looked good.

I like these ones as they have the black background on them:

What do you guys think, too ricer?

That's gonna look out of place (ie ricey) on any w202.

I agree, just doesn't look right for the W202

Yeah I figured that would be the general consensus...... I thought they were a little ricer as well but at the same time I kinda like them with the black background. The last thing I want to do is turn my beloved C43 into a rice burner. Thanks for the input, anyone know where to score some classier looking projectors for the W202???

22 X3, 21 330e, 97 M3, 97 C36 (sold), but on the hunt for a clean, low-mile C43!
Yeah, those black surround projectors look good initially, especially when they are not mounted on the car. But I saw something similar on a C36 that was for sale recently, and I almost vomitted. But I must admit that the ones on ARuss's wagon look very sharp. You said they're from a Range Rover? Please elaborate.

Look at his thread..... it appears he modified some Range rover headlights to fit his C58, that is why they look so good. Far more in terms of money and time then what I would like to spend on my headlights but I would love to have them.

What about these headlights?

or these?

I am leaning towards the 2nd ones.... What is the weird piece at the bottom on the first ones, a turn signal?

^Those actually don't look half bad...but again, seeing them actually installed on the vehicle is the only way to make the final call.

They are a 2-Bulb housing, right? Where the Hi & Lo Beams share 1 bulb and the other bulb is for the Fogs? The wirings/plugs won't match my headlights since I have a 3-Bulb housing (1-bulb Hi, 1-bulb Lo & 1-bulb Fogs).

There not projectors they are more crystal clear style... i had projectors and got tired with them... because they didnt flow with a clear side lens.. These match better with a clear side lens. they use the factory 6 pin plug and it adds a marker light that you can wire up or not... ill get some pics now

I like the clear lens but I don't like all the chrome.... I think that is what is drawing me to the projector lights.

Thats cool i had the projectors for about a year then i switched to this style... on my last set i took the headlights apart and painted the chrome black and also painted the turn signal lens it looked good... but everyone has diffrent taste
