ok thanks man
that would be the right side of the engine by the headers or the left by the harness and stuff? I did get this same code like a year ago but went away until now got it read and cleared the check engine code it drove like it supposed to with so much power but is there a specific way to tell if the engine harness is bad because all issues I had or were having was shifting and sluggish acceleration like rpms being steady. I currently have 135k miles on my car so when do you think the harness goes bad

They are on the driver side under the intake.. when you unplug them look at the connectors if you see bare wires or the insulation is comming apart go chance its the harness not the sensors.... a buch of problems can happen shifting, idleing, accel the knock sensors input in to the main engine computer and adjust for engine knocking or pre ignition which can destroy the engine so if that system is failing lots of problems can happen

OKay so the sensor is under the upper intake tube which connects to the throttle body huh yea I see the harness there and every wire I see Is pretty much in a good condition so it looks okay ever since I reseted the check engine code its driving with so much power like nothing happened drove it all day today Had zero problems it realy could be the sensor because if the harness was bad it wouldnt be even driving like this

What your explaining to me sounds more like problem with the harness.. usually if the knock sensor goes bad and you clear the code the code will come right back... but when the harness is going bad it takes the right heat and vibration to short it out..
best way is to test outv the wiring or clear the code and wiggle the wiring and move the connectors at the sensor and the wiring and see if you can get the light to come on.
Or you can tesy fit a new knock sensor but it sounds more like wiring to me

ok I got you dang so if the code comes back then its a good chance its a sensor but if not then the wiring harness then.
I know replacing the harness is like a big job can you give me an idea how much cost and labor im looking at man

Before you go replacing parts just test the wirng out with a simple meter... Alittle testing and youll find out where your problem is.. If your good with wiring you dont need to replace the harness just repair it
