Picked Up a Little Daily Driver...
Figured I'd share a few pictures of my "new" daily driver. Benz now gets to stay in the garage and doesn't have to do grocery runs and the school commute.
I know the AMG is dirty in the picture of both cars together, I was still setting up car wash stuff and hadn't washed either car yet
For anyone curious, the Bug is a '69, 4 speed, with a stock 1500 engine for now. I plan on replacing those wheels with some Empi 8 spokes, putting some new tires on, chrome side view mirrors, new door handles, new shift bushings, short shift kit, and some new seatbelts.
In the future a set of dual carbs, a 019 distributor, 1.4 ratio rocker arms, and a set of headers into a sport muffler.

Just what I mentioned above: dual carbs, a 019 distributor, 1.4 ratio rocker arms, and a set of headers into a sport muffler.
Trying to keep it mostly sane. Maybe later I'll bore and stroke it.
In states that do not require a front plate you can put on a "vanity plate" so the German plate is legal. The beetle actually does a bit better on gas than the C36 when you drive it normally.

this is great if you like driving fast with your car

I had one of those back n 94 to spare my Vette and my 67 Camaro It was rust and primer and had leaky cylinder heads which caused the car to backfire whenever I downshifted.
Used to scare the crap out of people for the hell of it doing that on the highway.
