1995 C 36 AMG; 1992 W124 300E (M103 Ex Mosselman TT KIT) was 320hp @10psi now stock :(
Ill do my best to run my 36 against my mechanic's 43.
as i have said before my car was his, and he swears it all the way faster up 200kp/h
i just have to get him to race.
for the record i raced a W209 CLK 500 convert, from a roll to abt 235km/h and i was ahead by abt 3 to 4 cars cars. we raced 4 times.

This is promising Denis. Although we still got bombarded with that defensiveness! Glad to see this can be civil with some of the classy guys in here, I guarantee it's only a matter of time before some jerk stumbles on this thread and starts running their mouth though.

I'll run anyone. Embarrassing or otherwise, but I don't think you are close.
So far so good.

Also, how does your autocross chapter class you? Assuming both our cars are street prepared. Does your chapter use SCCA SOLO guidelines?

83 500SEC, 87 300D, 02 C32(x2), 02 C320T (x2), 03 C320T4, 03 C320T, 03 E55, 05 E320CDI, 06 E320CDI
ah ok I was hoping for a direct swap on the diff- I went from a 2.24 to a 3.07 in my 500SEC and loved it.
I run with the MBCA for now, its all I have enough spare time for, once a month from april to november. We use SCCA classifications for all the other cars but classify the Mercedes differently- here's the results page from the last one I did: http://gws-mbca.org/ax/ax-10/ax10-6.html

At the autocross, we usually get fun runs that do not count towards our best raw time and such. On the fun runs it is fun to bring along other people so they can in turn provide input on technique. And its plain fun.
Well I grabbed a third gen MR2 driver with me and he noted that the gear changes are very quick and tight. However, this is ruled out of question since the 1997 C36 came with the 5G-Tronic and the times did not suffer.
I found dyno sheets for both C43 and C36. And looked at the torque curve. I'm fully stumped.
At this point it just seems like 0-60 and 1/4 mile times were inflated for C36 and\or underrated for C43.
However, this is at least partically not true, as I have personally verified my 0-60 on different occasions. I works out to what it should be, most of the times even better.
Dyno-ing my car regardless on the 23rd.

Loving this NC meet! Been waiting a long time for this. I'm right over in Chapel Hill so just about 2 hours from Charlotte. Love to see how my 36 stacks up, it sadly hasn't been taken care of all too well before me and I'd like to see if it is as fast as the others. Keep my updated on this
Also jumph4x, to answer your classification question, when I do Autocross i'm under F-stock i believe, and that should be SCCA Solo guidelines.

No this is not Benzmac's car, this is another convert 5.5. However the black car u see in the pic is a low 11sec car I own if u can't run me with the SLK. This car Never sees taillights and it's a 4 cylinder.
What V8 comnversion r u working on

I'm in a small apartment right now and once the car, bike, and all of my tools are in the garage, there is barely any room to breath, let alone swap an engine. I'm moving in February, so hopefully next spring I can work on the swap. It all depends on what I want to do while I am in there. I contacted Kleemann to verify they are still making the W208/202 headers and who knows what else. I always wanted to do one of those builds where I have a billion cool parts laying all over the floor and transform a stock car to a monster in one build.
Anyways, back to talking about the slower of the 202's

We'll have to see and I doubt it especially if your SLK32 is stck. Upstairs especially you'll be left for dead.

dyno tune netted 341 rwhp with 332 ft/lbs torque kicking in at 2000 rpm. top boost logged was 19 psi
so my little 32 will scoot! guessing maybe a 1000 lbs lighter than yours? hopefully full lsd will be installed by spring. as for upstairs im delimited and have seen 157mph on my dashdaq with room to spare but not enough road!
low 11's out of my range for now! the v8 conversion is by a great dude in mn. he has a chrysler crossfire with a s/c 5.5 out of a sl55 installed. even starts with athe ignition key! looks absolutely factory and the car is an freakin monster!

I think that SLK and a W202 C55 would be pretty entertaining race. I could see the SLK pulling away though. The W202's aren't that heavy for a German 4 door, I believe in the 3300 to 3400 lb range.
Carl, I'll have to get in contact with you as I get closer to swap time. I'd be lying if I said the idea of getting rid of the 43 and tracking down a 05 CLK55 hadn't crossed my mind.

my mods are well documented. c3 pulley full dyno tune intakes , pulley saver kit oil catch can res delete w/ sec. cat delete, goodyear dr's on clk rims.

I have posted my dyno's but I am having a hard time finding them.
My car weighs 3360lbs,Kleeman headers, full 3" exh, metal cats,Delimited Software, has seen 173mph racing my friends Modified 300CSRT8(low to mid 12 sec car in 1/4mile) with electronic factory Speedo. We were neck to neck at those speeds.
There is also a mid to low 12 sec W208 CLK55 that I could ask to join the party if you like.
My car is not to be slept on and I certainly would not sleep on yours even though I'd be willing to give it a go if we only lived closer. If I'm in your area or your in mines u could pm me.
Would love to own and mod one of those SLK32's but for now the Talon I have will have to suffice unless I go and get a BMW 1 or 335i.
That SRT6 sounds crazeeee!
Sorry about the hijack guys. Gotta stand up for the W202,36,43,55's!

MMmmmmm I dunno about that but this can be confirmed if me and the modded SLK meet up.
You'll see what I mean if you drop that motor in your car. It's a complete transformation, and you would not even believe it's the same car. This is also why I love the CLK55 but it's a tad heavier than the C43.
Not a problem bro, when u r ready just call for whatever info u need.
