C43 AMG 5.5 - 396.4HP
For sure you won't have an increase in performance as long as you do not improve exhausting and ECU.
You can deliver more air flow but the air restrictor will still limit as before.

And either way, to anyone that believes k&n drop ins will give noticeable performance: it won't happen. i've done it before to my other cars, and you don't really feel anything except maybe a little noticeable noise upon takeoff. if you want performance, find a cold air intake.

I'll chime in on this..for the last time.My personal experience is I've used K&N in my C43 ( and all my othe Benzes too ) and have never had a problem.I clean & oil mine every 6 months wether they need it or not. When I oil them I allow them to "sit" in the sun for a hour or 2 before I put them in.After dropping them in I allow the car to idle for about 10 minutes. This allows the motor to draw air in over the filters at a reasonable rate.K&N states on their website that if you install their filters (you must register them) and you get a CEL and the repair shop states the K&N's caused the mass air sensor failure, send them the repair report and the failed sensor and they will go to bat for you with the service repair shop.I personally think people get these filters ( which may come "over oiled" - my pair for my ML appeared so ) and install them and then rev the $hiat out of the motor and then the maf sensor goes haywire and its the filters fault.....not sure, my theory. In regards to the Green Filters...you might want to do a search.I believe that some of the W211 -E55 guys have installed them and the have "collapsed" inside the airbox. You guys do what you want , I would just do a "search" on the green filters before you purchase them .

I was just about to bring up the Green filter issue. I've heard of them coming apart in the airbox. I would personally rather screw up an MAF than ingest filter material. I like the BMC's the best, they are just $$$.

Never a problem, never a CEL....
Performance gain not so noticeable on a NA motor, more noticeable on a boosted motor.

i put the filters in and all i gotta say is "wow" what a difference, maybe it is because i have not changed them since summer 2009, but still, the car runs much more smoother, and now is with traction off it burns out like a ****(i need new tires too) but huge difference imo, definitely worth the money!!!

I had greens on my clk500 for two years, my dad has them on R350 for longer and they are great. MPG slightly improved on both cars. Clk did get louder a tad. The green filters that collapse and fall apparat are installed incorrect. The way they fit its very easy to screw up. Did it my self, had to reopen the box and correct them.

Found this thread over in another section..
https://mbworld.org/forums/clk55-amg...fe-vs-k-n.html
One guy claims he did back to back dyno runs with stock filter and the green filter and says the green filter added 9 HP.
Here is another thread I found on benzworld where another guy is claiming the same thing, green filter = 9 HP increase

Leaves rubber like
a ****? Your butt dyno must really be kicking in high gear
No hp gains.
And your car already has a cold air intake from the factory.
The oem filters already outflow all the cfm the engine can use.
Falling for snake oil does not make your car any quicker.....Bald tires and all.
Matter of fact why not buy new tires instead of buying things that do nothing for performance.
