400 Crank HP with the 4.3 M113
Keelmann:
Cams: $2295.00 +17-20 HP/TQ
Headers $1495.00 (includes down pipes) 20 HP
Eurocharged Dyno Tune $550 25HP
Res Delete and X pipe $300 10HP
Evosport Underdrive Pulleys $350 12HP
That's 97HP at the crank (302 stock + 97 = 400HP) give or take a few in each direction for $4990 or $51.00 per HP. AND since I know some one will say it, the parts swap right over the the 5.4 engine for later. So why don't people tune our engines anymore? Doesn't the 5.4 weigh over 100lbs more too? Seems like everyone gives up and goes right for the 5.4, even if their current motor is still in good shape. If you did just one of these mods each 6 months to a year, its not as huge of a hit and an entire engine swap and you can still move to the 5.4 once the 4.3 goes.
Are most of these numbers not accurate or what?
the evosport pulleys i did not c a diff so i took them off my car
i would do ams crank pulley if i was u
good luck
also my car bets tuned clk55 i just cant get off the line good so by a lsd
good research
with the tune; if you got that after you put on everything, do you think you could squeeze some extra power out? because it would optimize the efficiency of everything right? i am probably wrong and none of that makes sense haha
buffyclk is right, get an lsd!!

Are most of these numbers not accurate or what? This hundred pound figure MUST be comparing the 55K against some other engine. Even then, the weight difference must include the supercharger, hoses, second set of valve springs, coolant pump, cooler, belt, and everything other blower related part on the car.
Realistic incremental gains on a normally aspirated AMG are neither inexpensively nor easily achieved.
Seldom one to douse another aficionado’s fire, me thinks those alleged increases are woefully optimistic.
If you’d like, send a PM when you arrive in Manhattan Beach.
It's unlike situations with other cars, like, say a small block Chev - where there are tons of available options and you can generally find out that headers from 'A' will get you 'X' hp and torque because so many people have already done it.
The one exception in our situation is the 55 swap. It's been done relatively frequently, and the gains are tangible. Cost is going to be comparable to buying all those parts a la carte. But power is not the big gain anyway, right? That extra bore and stroke add up to a considerable increase in torque, and in real world driving feel and performance, that is going to be felt much more, most of the time. IMO.
So basically Kleemann is lying? Because their two mods add 40hp alone and Eurocharged lets you watch the before and after dyno at 25hp. Thats still 65hp. We have seen the dyno sheets on the res and 2nd cat delete being good for about 10hp, so that is 75hp? I am just trying to understand whos lying here? And why do these similar mods add good gains on the M113 5.4 and the 6.3 AMG motor? Just better parts or what?

As far as the other mods I would be surprised if you added all the mods and got all the power that is claimed but I guess we will never know until one of us bites the bullet and dynos before/after installing each mod. You would imagine that between all of the members on here someone would of dyno'd before and after installing some of these mods....

) After I get my suspension installed I am going to start on the exhaust. I will be picking up a set of the kleemann headers for sure, I am debating to go with straight pipes or the eisenmann exhaust... When is Jerry supposed to be in Dallas??
