255/35/18 too big?
Going with 18x9.5 in the rear with proper offset.Tire rack suggests 255/35 18 rear tire. Will these fit without issues? I plan on lowering the car with voghtlands and pads to give a raked look...any suggestions/reccomendations? thanks!

Thats what I have on but when I had the H&R's I had to roll the rear fenders. Don't know if you'll have that issue or not. Everyone else seems to be fine. Now with the Votlands I'm have rubbing issues on the drivers side front with the 225-40-18's. gonna try the #5 pads, right now I have #4's.

Depends on your offset and on the tire. Even with same dimension, tires can be over 1'' different in width. Lowering doesn't matter...

I use 245/35 front and 285/30 rear, but you need to modify your fenders and rear bumper.
Final step might be 19x9 front with 245/30 or 255/30 and 19x11 rear with 305/25 or 315/25 but it could get a little difficult...

503C43 now you begin to scare me with those dimensions.
it will be a slow heavy rotation mass to pull everytime you are going to squosh those Bavarian competitors @ the redlights!
ho ho hoe

For 305/315 tires on the rear, it is necessary to go down to minimum offset (of 15) allowed here in Germany and it will be still critical on the inside of the wheel. For the 285 tires I needed to use offset 25. For sure I need to redesign my fenders...
Another problem is that there are only a few ires available for those dimensions and if the tire is worn out, you don't know if still available.
Had the same problem with the Hankook K104 245/35-18 285/30-18. Once there was a front tire damaged and the K104 was no more available. So I combined with 2x V12Evo in front. Now Hankook doesn't offer the 285/30 anymore. The new V12 in that dimension is available for US market only (no certification for Europe). Other tires are often specified for Porsche or if the rear dimension is available the front dimension isn't or vice versa.

sounds like airplane
I've run some 275/30/19s (I think in the past)
Currently running 255/35/18 and very happy
Width won't help the traction as much as going to a slightly taller/softer tire on a smaller rim would.
