Just saw "Unknown"
I just got back from "Unknown", the movie with Liam Neeson that looked like a rip off of "Taken". Let me start by telling you the movie was a complete let down. Not only did I figure out the whole movie less than 1/3 of the way in but it was just cheesy. I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone who is going to go see it so I will leave it at that. Now I bet your wondering why I am posting this movie review on the MB forum, simple. "Unknown" had more Mercedes in the movie than I have ever seen in any movie ever made. The movie takes place in Berlin and EVERY taxi is a Mercedes as well as Mercedes just driving around in the background. There is product placement throughout the movie all of which is Mercedes, there are 2 shining points in the movie.
1.) There is some rich middle eastern prince in the movie who pulls up in.... You guessed it the new SLS, unfortunately that's all you see of the SLS. No chase scenes or display of the SLS power...
2.) There is a decent car chase scene that lasts about 5 minutes or so that involves a VW SUV and what appears to be a 90's 300E (I could be wrong as 95% of the Mercedes in this movie are debaged). Obviously the Merc pulls off some pretty amazing maneuvers to trump the brand new VW.
Long story short: Save your $$$ and wait for this movie to come out on TV, it is cool to see all the Mercedes in the movie but that's about it.

Well - I have to disagree with you on a couple of points - but as they say, that's what makes the world go round.
First - I loved the movie and would recommend it to anyone. I didn't see the surprise at the end coming until it happened. The previews don't give this movie away in my opinion.
Second - I believe that the car in the chase scene was a W202. I thought it handled pretty well - stayed flat in the power slides. I thought it was interesting that they used the W202 in the chase scene instead of one of the many new e-class cars that are shown.
Regards.

I thought it was a pretty good movie. Maybe not as good as I thought it would be, but I had fun with it. All the Merc taxis and such - if you go to Germany, all the cabs actually are Mercedes! I mean, they are just domestics there after all. It's like having Crown Vics as taxis in North America.
Pretty sure the car chase vs. the Toureg is in a 300E.

I thought it was good as well, and I don't see how anyone could figure out what REALLY was going on 1/3 of the way into the movie, perhaps 2/3 or so. Especially who Liam really was.
It was not the best movie, but decent enough to go see.
Excellent scenes with all the Mercs, it was like MB on tap...lol.

P.S The car in the chase scene was definitely not a W202, I agree with Saab I believe it was a 300e
