Oh I couldn't care less. I'm just saying it says all the right things. It is definitely listed as a 330mm part. I have seen multiple sites selling those balo cross-drilled 330mm rotors for roughly the same price. Im not really defending autohaus but there is no reason other people should be scared to buy that part since it says all the right sh-t

On a different note what brand did you pick up outlaw? I noticed Balo also makes a coated version for just a couple bucks more. There are also Zimmerman and a couple other brands available in 330mm. But not from autohaus - from other sites. Rmeuropean is one site I found with a greater selection along with rockauto.

i think the zinc coating or what ever it is keeps them from rusting some

Hmm, well it looks like if i do buy from autohaus i'll just have to specifically state i want the 330mm rotors, not 280 that they supposedly send. I don't really know where else to get them really. Thanks alot for all your input and feedback guys, really saved me an arm and leg here :P

no no, my comment had nothing to do with autohaus on rotors,,,,
i never ask them any questions on rotors

when i was doing my research it seems no one understood there were 2 different rotor sizes and immediately wanted to sell me 280mm which is 230 sport. some did not even have a listing for 230 sport K, It seems 04 is a split year, some early 230 sport k had smaller rotors, even when i ordered them i had the lady tell me year make and model they fit and the diameter before i placed the order, because of the 04 problem i say use 05 which there is only one size for the 230 sport k.

yeah with autohaus in particular searching 2005 gives NO results for rotors.. searching 2004 gives a bunch of results with both sizes. I found at least a half dozen other vendors online selling the 330mm rotors.. some solid, some slotted, some cross drilled, coated, etc. I am totally going this way for $$$ reasons.

Still the oem front rotors have a 210 e55 number - if they are good enough for the e55 then the oem c43 rotors are damn good. With the cryo treatment 503 should not have to replace them again for the life of the car (unless he tracks the bejeezus out of it).

Revival time!

503: How are you planning to/how did you change to the SS lines without doing the brake fluid at the same time? Are you just gonna drive it with air in the system from doing the lines over to the shop??

Use the bleeder valve on the caliper to remove any air from the brake line...

You need two people to use the bleeder valve, right? One to step on the brakes and the other to turn the valve on/off.

Two people to bleed the brakes is common. I've gotten away with a broom handle before though, and there are tools that variously pressurize the fluid through the reservoir, or use vacuum to suck out the fluid from the caliper side, thus being one man bleed operations.

I use the Missus to do the pumping She has past experience of maintaining prototype race cars and light aircraft, so she understands the orders I give while bleeding under the wheel wells

Alas I feel as though I will never get my brakes installed I have all of the parts just sitting WAITING to be installed by my work schedule has me tied up 12+ hours a day 6 days a week.

I was planning on taking Saturday off to check out the MB and BMW day of cars in the park and then installing my brakes but I was just informed today that I will be needed on Saturday. I am planning to do an EARLY 8 hour shift and then running downtown to check out cars in the park and then installing my brakes

WISH ME LUCK!!

P.S. I will post pics of the MB's and (FLAME SUIT ON ) BMW's

What do you guys think about this solution? I found this on the German AMG forum and apparently it is a straight swap and CHEAP too OK, not solid two piece like OE but drilled one piece.

Looks like it's the C32/C55 caliper and rotor swap!

I don't have the Stoptechs for my AMG (I did the C32/55 caliper and rotor swap instead) but I have Stoptechs on the front of my S2000. Thumbs up from me, absolutely no complaints. Good product.

Can you point to a particular thread in the German AMG forum? I'm curious as to what they have to say (I will have to brush up on my German though!).
