looks nice- I like the way it still uses the stock air plumbing as much as is possible.

any information on the intercooler setup you are using?

any plans to improve the traction?

Why is badged as "Dyno-comp" on the SC when the SC is HPS?

Some people just have difficulty giving others credit. What does it matter which badge is on the SC.

Congrats on the upgrade OP. Looking forward to seeing the numbers.

It just a question and I was hoping he say something like Dynocomp pretty much redesign the kit because it it a piece of shSH%$#%$T in my opinion. Now people saw the re-badges and think that Dynocomp have a SC kit. I guess my friend C55 with Stages 8 kleemann SC can justify rebages it to "Dynocomp" SC since he's getting the Dynocomp tunes.

It's just another way for you to avoid complimenting someone, you could disguise it with whatever you'd like. Let this man have his thread back, you're the only one that seems to have a problem with the badge.

How about let the man response to his post. I don't have a rebadge problem like I told you in the other post, if the owner swapped our his engine to a Clk550 engine, he should have the right to rebadges it to Clk550 on a W208 chassis but you disagreed. So who's having rebadge problem there?

Hi and thank you all for the compliments!!!
I'm using 9psi with no knocking or detonation problem at all, and it puts down 370 whp and 375 tq using 91oct gas and it will improve with oil catch can install.
As for the badge on the manifold, I already posted about my sc set up while back. It's basically hps gen2 with upgrades. Actually, the only thing in common with hps gen2 is the manifold (which didnt come with hps stamp) if you don't count the magnuson mp113 sc which kleemann and other tuners use as well. The owner of dynocomp Rich and evotech software engineer Ken did a lot of research, and there were quite a bit of trial and error process before setting the car upto their standard. They tried different injectors, fuel pump, intercooler, and airboxes to be successful. Then I had e-prom problem. The eprom didnt fully erased the software and dynocomp sent the ecu to their fellow ecu tuner in Germany to get eprom out and install a new one with socket (so we can just swap a new eprom if it ever bust again). So, I think th sc set up DESERVES to have dynocomp badge on it, since they really made the sc useful to someone. The car made 140hp more at the wheel with the SC and kleeman headers on a hot/ low pressure day. I think they deserve to be known to others for their work, and putting the dynocomp badge on the sc is least I can do

Mr. Silence! The intercooler is right inside the bumper and its water cooled I'll try to take some pics but my phone cam sucks and I always forget to take leica with me.

Mr. Tash! I guess people in Scottsdale area really care a lot about architecture/interior design and I think it all influenced by Frank Loyd Wright

I do know your SC in and out. It not plug and play kit that for sure and the car was running way way too lean. Btw, what do you think of the stock intercooler pump? Isn't that a joke? Anyway, Dynocomp sure deserves the right to have their name on it. I'm not sure what's your 1/4 miles time like, there's only one person that pretty much redesigned the kit completely himself and his best time for the 1/4 mile is 12.5s on the 1st generation SL500 and this is like 5 years ago. I'm sure he is much faster now. If you are interesting in what he has done to the kit, I believe his screen name here is Tech-Tune.

HPS guys really chumped out on a lot of the parts. I just don't get why they didn't use adequate components on their set up.
I was actually runnning rich with out any tuning and it was making 305 whp.
12.5 on 1/4 mile is really impressive on sl500!! Was this guy really skinny or something?? 120lb?

I was assuming as much about the gen II HPS kit when I responded earlier...

It's rebadged just as mine is... In this case a shop did the work and took the credit (thus the logo), in my case, no logos.

I would love to know which injectors and other things they did to make yours work right.

I too have an intercooler in my bumper btw... I'm curious which brand/model etc. if you know? My system uses the heat exchanger from an '03 cobra and a lightning pump.

Motorsport, post a dyno sheet so we can slobber over it. I'm actually keen to see how it compares to a performance pack C63, especially to compare their torque curves.
