Recently replaced with transplant:
-New plugs, new wires, gaskets for oil pan upper/lower, valve cover upper/lower, rear main, timing, etc. Injectors proffesionally cleaned and flow matched. Tranny fluid/filter change. Rear diff fluid replaced. Wheel bearings replaced and repacked. Think the ball joints have 20K on them but will confirm.
There are countless pictures of my car up here only difference being the wheels. I'll get some pics up of the updates as soon as I can. The car runs the ***** now and looks as good as it runs. That said I stand behind any of it and would prefer a local sale with this in mind.
So what do you guys think? I'm a realist and not some 16yr old trying to factor in the 2K he spent on rims last year. Would 8000.00 be a bad start?? Hope to have some official ads up by end of week.
Thanks All!

What rims do you have on it??? Is is renntech monoblock??
STAPLEGUN:
The tranny is original, fluid and filter have been replaced twice now. Can't say I've ever had any issues with it. One time I ran tires way to tall and it did funny things.
Why its taken ten years for this reality to set in escapes me. As any good enthusiast would I've been ready to take a hit on the car after the very first thing I bought for it. I may start it at 9000.00 based on the condition maybe, never driven in snow and rarely if ever sees rain. Lives in a garage. These are the new wheels, staggered 8.5/9.5in. I kinda like them better in terms of looks.

We have always had the most expensive fuel.
I think I'll be keeping mine until the gas goes up another 100% or more... never felt so good spending $70 on a tank as I do putting it in this car. Plus it gets 25+ mpg!
good luck with the sale
I dont find the C43 to be that bad on fuel mileage as its surprisingly comparable to my previous C230k (depending how driven). The worst was a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

to play with. Guess my missus would go bonkers, but that's another problem
Since having the car I burn 10.55lt /100km (that's around 22.3 MPG) and not slouching around either. Just a bit more than the c240T I have, so very reasonable, despite the price of gas these last months

At highway speeds ranging from 60-70 I usually get right around 25. I can probably get a bit higher if I want to.
What does a stock C43 get? The supercharger is "dead weight" on the pulley, but when it isn't engaged I doubt it adds too much resistance. Perhaps some of my other work has also added efficiency?
I can drive like an absolute hooligan (and usually do) and still return numbers in the 20-22 range with mostly city driving.

(combination of city driving and freeway driving, mostly city driving)I have a LEAD foot and like to shift manually which has me in the higher end of the RPM's vs if I was to put it in "D" and go.
when I first got the car I was driving around in "D" all the time and I was getting 18 MPG. I did drive down to the beach which is all freeway and I got 23+ MPG but that is the only time, there is no way I can drive like a "hooligan" and get anywhere near 20+ MPG ESPECIALLY with city driving
Am I the only one here or is everyone else getting 20+ MPG driving like a "hooligan"?
I use the formula- miles driven/gallons used??? htf else would you "calculate" mpg?
I find it curious that people with stock cars are getting worse mileage. There are quite a few things done to my car that may make a difference though--- non-stock intake, sc, upper intake work, upgraded cooling, maf scaling (could my tune actually be leaner than stock for "normal" driving?), synthetic fluids everwhere (but who doesn't?), exhaust work. Heck- my CEL is even permanently on.
I don't see how anyone can possibly get 25mpg unless they go 50mph on flat ground. I haven't tried to calculate my fuel economy yet because I already know it will be like 16 from all the irreverent city only driving.
