yep.
no matter how low the mileage and good of condition it is, a w202 is still old, and outdated in terms of everything; engineering, engine power, technology, etc. why pay premium for old stuff?
poor fella, just set himself up for disappointment.

$25,000!!! HAHA try $15k and then work a deal down from there.

maybe when the car is really old and becomes an collectors item, then $25000dollars might be a fair and asking price?
but that will happen maybe in 100 years from now?
C43 is a good mid sized muscle car, I hope these cars C36 and C43 somehow gain collectors value in the future like the w124 E500 cars, especially the LIMITED E500 cars and the E60 AMG cars, these are sought after cars by MB enthusiasts

Yeah but as it's been previously discussed having low miles isn't always a good thing. There has to be a balance between miles and age. Parts need to be used and lubercated. Atleast every 3 months I would put it at. With this one it's on average about 80 miles a month, which I would think could pass for being driven just barely enuff. It's going to take an enuthiast to buy this outdated version at this price and they're going to know the true value and probly at first insult this guy with a low ball and when he comes to a realization then i think it will sell for about 15k. I could buy a c55 with 30-40k miles for 25k.

I'd think a true collector that has some money may concider it, but to the average guy..its to high. You could pick up a high mileage one and dump a lot of new toys inside to get one tweaked C55 in the end for $25k. IMHO This is for the collector. Good for him for trying.
I collected other stuff and never understood the joy of an unfired gun, and unopened comic, etc. I wanna play with my beanie babies ya know? But some like that "mint" museum and I am sure there isn't to many like that.

What a frikin NICE car!!! I thought I had low miles... I like the white with two-tone interior.
The price is not exactly $25K. The seller has a buy it now price of $23.9K and we don't know what the reserve is...
The bid is already up to $17.6 with 4 days to go, but the reserve is not met. So I think we'll see what 'market' is.
The problem for the rest of us is...we can't match that low mileage nor probably originality...which is commanding a BIG premium.
BTW - has anybody seen the price on E30 M3s lately? There's a low mileage example for sale asking $40K. I had one and sold it for $15K in mint shape with 51K miles on it in '99. I like my C43 a hellava lot better than that M3 - it would run circles around it. So I'm determined to keep my C43 no matter what other cars start to get under my skin. 5.5 years now and steady.

Wow, 12,000 miles after 12 years. And all of my buddies talk about me only putting 36,000 on mine but I drive it every weekend to keep everything lubricated. Makes you wonder how long it sat without starting it up.

Hi merc43.
I've got 47K on my C43 and I make a point of driving it weekly like you. I started working from home a year and a half ago, so I don't have to put the daily commute miles on it anymore. My wife says she feels like her car has become the family car now.
That car is in FL and I wondered if it was at a second home and was used only occasionally when the owners were visiting. In that climate, I doubt it got hurt by sitting.
OT - Where are you in TX?

To whomever buys that great car - and I hope that you have come to visit this site - or you are already here -
Please make sure that the harmonic dampner has been replaced. It was a service recall, but if it was never done, do it right away whether you can get the recall warranty or not!!! The original will fail.
Otherwise there's really nothing else that you have to look out for in a car like that. Well - maybe replace the tires if they're original due to age.
Cheers and congrats if you are the new owner!

Yah he reduced the price from 25k to 23.5
I would have no problem paying up to 18k for it if it was silver, red, or dark blue. White on these cars just doesn't do it for me.

It might be old and dated but still, look what you're getting for $20k compared to new "crap" being sold at that price today off the showroom floor. Although, I do want a Fiat 500.
