I am far from a photographer, and was only using a 7 megapixel powershot.
Photos sell cars. Period.
Also, if you have not listed it on autotrader, do so. Much better avenue than cars.com. I have sold 4 cars via autotrader. Only use it when it doesn't sell via forums.

what was the reserve?
I'm convinced it will sell for more in 3-4 months.
The fact that southern buyers who might be interested can't come see it in person, and that no one up here wants it right now is killing it. The old pictures weren't helping either of course.

Pop the hood, open doors and trunk, etc., etc. Take a look at fotos of cars that inspire you and copy those shots. Ask yourself, "would I buy a car that looks like this"?
Don't know what to tell you about your camera. I'd have a friend help me out with good pics.

Your car didn't sell to me because I couldn't get approval (having just bought a house and an immaculate w124 for the wife).
I'd have it in my drive-way today if it weren't for my debt ratio. Having just had a baby, I doubt I could raise enough to pay cash for it any time soon.
Heart breaking. I get a little light headed when I look at that car. I've dreamed of C43's since I was 16 and especially black ones. They're so rare and special.

good thing no one has seen pictures of it with the painted hood and completely rubbed out paint!!!!! and detail its super clean now
