I would also check the CPS as I suspect that is the culprit. It happened to me less that one week after I purchased the vehicle. Starts fine when cold, and plays up when hot.
Have a good check of your battery condition (water level, etc.) as it gets kind of forgotten in the bottom of the rear trunk

Battery is 5 weeks old, only thing i can think is maybe the cps because it cranked strong but didndt start, i felt like it kinda of was trying to start and it would at times but would just die, so not battery , defenatly had gas, so cps is my only suspect for now. thing is if it is the cps would it just die on me as if if ran out of gas?

Yes, it may happens like that sometimes, but we can’t confirm that 100%, prefer if you can go to good garage that has an MB Star to
diagnose the car, it takes around 15-20 minutes only,, then everything well be clear to you without guess & headaches........![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

But don't rule out the mass air flow either. When the Maf went out on my car it just died and wouldn't restart. This would happen after idling for more then a couple minutes. Disconnect it and plug it back in it would fire right up. Might just change the CPS for peace of mind. but if it happens again try unplugging the Maf and see if it starts right back up.

maf is possible as i went through 2 of them but both time it threw a code and i replaced it and it was fine , as far and the cps, where can i order one and where is it located, is it a pain to replace? Im willing to spend the money on the maf insert its not bad going for 115 free shiping easy replacement as far as the cps if its a easy fix as for me to do it myself i am willing to replace that as well depending on how hard it is to put in, anyone have a pic of where its located, thanks guys for all your feedback.

Sometimes CPS culprits the Engine, cause it has a magnet, that magnet send a signal that tells the ECU about the rotation of the flywheel,
that’s also effect to the Engine performance,, sometimes Engine lights comes on & sometimes not,, anyway its very important to change the
CPS after a while, to take a good optimise..........

There are "2" kinds of CPS,
1) #: "003 153 27 28 or 28 28"
2) #: "003 153 95 28 or 96 28"
*it depends of the CPS connector plug in your car,, one comes with "1" pin, which uses "003 153 27 28 or 28 28", and the other with "2" pins
which uses "003 153 95 28 or 96 28", you need to pull the connector plug & see how many pins you have.........

It could also be the fuel pump. I had a no start with a strong crank in my ML. After reading the forums i was sure it was the CPS. I changed the CPS and the problem persisted. Towed it to a shop and they replace the fuel pump and the problem was solved. That being said in most cases a strong crank with no start is often the CPS.

Talking about fuel, check also your fuel filter. It does need to be changed from time to time, depending on the quality and origin of fuel you put in the tank

That’s right, of course, "fuel pump & fuel filter & injectors" can cause a hesitate for the Engine, specially with started & low miles driving........

It is the crank sensor. It will only store the code if you have it running, then it dies, and without cycling the key read the codes. once you cycle the key it clears the code for what ever reason. The newer cars (05ish up) can store crank sensor codes but the c43 won't. Heat is what affects them so if it acts up, leaving you stranded, open the hood and let it cool off. Then replace it
