Air lumber support
Has anyone replaced the lumber support air bags inside the seats? Mine seems to be leaking and the compressor shuts down after a while to save the motor.
Is it difficult? Anyone have any parts number for them? Might as well do both seats while I'm at it.....
Thank you in advance.

Which bladder do you think is leaking? I have seen the controls beside the seat leak and the hoses leak, but I haven't seen a bladder leak.

Good point. I was just told by my mechanic who fixed my oil leak that my ECU had a bunch of error codes related to that and it's most likely the bladder.
He was the one who recommended I go replace the bladders myself. lol
Can we order just the hose?

Had this same problem, it is common. Make sure you use some super glue when you reattach them. I did this a while ago and they have since popped back off, I should have used super glue

I'm sure you are bashing your head saying why did I wait so long to do it

Can you hear any air leaks? There are o-ringed connections in the controller box next to the seat. Can you hear your compressor actually working? It very well could be the bladders, that just seems really unlikely.

i dont see any point trying to convince each other whether it is hose vs fitting vs bladder.
fact is that the damage can happen at any of these points. it just comes down to the odds.
I've seen all three.....but i've always wished it was just the fitting.

I had the same problem with mine, now the driver side works, but one side of the passenger is not working, uppon further check, we found one bladder is broken (the plastic) not sure I can fix this but just replacing it. Does anyone knows from where can I source this and/or the P/N for this?
They were also out place, se we had to re trim them in their place.
Thanks

hell yea. ive had my c43 for a few months now, and i had the same problem. passenger seat worked fine but the only thing that didnt work on the driver side was the side bolster. pulled the back cover off and sure enough the line was unhooked..thank god. speaking from experience taking the seat apart to installed new seat bladders are not fun. ive had to do quite a few of them on the newer w212 chasis with the dynamic seats. on the newer ones now, the seat air bladders rip open. must be cheaper material now than in 1999.
