How often does these arms go bad?
I guess a lazy mechanic on his job at the shop would say it's better to swap complete arm.

w202 chassi is a bit sensitive to wind

Handling improved exponentially! It was like night and day. As far as W202 being sensitive to wind, I have never had that problem.
now i guess it's a different story with new rubbers and a fresh 4 wheel align which i did last year.

They are still an easy bush to replace, replacing the arm isn't expensive and is a good option for a home mechanic rather then pressing the bush out.

only bushing i see is NO 8
what number does the rose joint have in the linked picture, what does it look like

See how bushing number 8 has a line going to it showing where it installs. The line leads up to the rose joint, this is where bushing #8 installs on the rose joint.
this part is never replaced, right???
i want to change all bushings on rear axle to cope with my new stuff on front axle.
i'm getting old, need goggles, 4 eyes

I believe I changed out the entire arm due to the cost of the bushing and getting it pressed (or buying a press) was around the same $$$ if not more expensive than buying the entire arm new and installing it.

i guess they are very expensive?
i might go for new complete arms i linked in the first thread and not having to hassle with pressing tools.
remove and replace with new parts goes faster.
