I have Fuchs ATF in a 20lt barrel. Will be changed in car after flush and filter change. They say it is used in the Factory

nice. wasnt sure if its just an MB spec fluid or the actual fluid.

also wonder if there are new versions of ATF out that are "downgradeable" to use in older transmissions/models

Sure, there are newer versions of ATF for the newer MB autotboxes, but they are NOT recommended for our older 722.x trannies. Keep to the MB specifications and you will have no problem

The fluid for the 722.9 transmission will work in your 722.6. I actually think its cheaper than the 722.6 fluid now a days. The very new low friction 722.9 will not work in your transmission. They made that fluid blue so it's easy to identify.
