Now I can jump start the C, and bring it into the garage. C was probably pissed that it's been outside for a week.

I have a BMW E34 which the door lock is powered by battery and the battery/hood switch is located inside the cabin... the only "door" you can unlock with you key is the trunk, what can you do?

Yes, this is the way my question should have been stated , how to open the hood if power key is not openning the door ? Does the manual key open the door or does it open the trunk only ?
Here are my suggestions
1) You can buy a cigrette plug charge that should give enough power to open the trunk
2) For my E34, there is no way I can open the door and therefore I bought a 12V battery, two tiny wire and use the rear light blub socket to provide little battery just to operate the electric door lock
I guess W202 is a lot easier as you can open the door with your key, hence open the hood and you are good to go
