So you are saying that changing this filter affected your cars performance? I thought this was just for the cabin air?

This filter for the "Fuel Air System", Cabin filter is something different,,:-

*when this filter damaged or blocked, it well locked-up much of air in the fuel tank, that well blocked the Regeneration valve either,, the air must to

burned in Intake Manifold through the Regeneration valve,, imagine how much air well suffocates the tank if you have blocked "Charcoal filter &

Regeneration valve", that well definitely effect the power,, also if you got the U.S version, it well effect more,, cause the U.S version is soo strict with

an environment low , for that the Charcoal filter comes with a shut-off valve, i recommended to check them out.......

When you feel the A/C air goes weak & sometimes bad smell flows around, that means "Cabin Dust filter" should to be replaced.......

Of course, changing that filter, well NOT give any more hp,, it gives the fuel system more breathe, that means the fuel tank well not from the stuck air,

like exactly the theory of the air inside the cooling system & the brake system.....!!!!

If you want the canister to last as long as possible do not top off when refueling, once the nozzle clicks off do not pump more fuel.

The canister clogging and the dust part is the cause of raw fuel entering the canister, it can only handle vapor.
I've seen canisters last the life of the vehicle and I seen others that fail
If the charcoal get wet it cloggs, most common way to get it wet is to flood the car or over fill the fuel.

i have occasionally topped off the fuel a few times when filling gas.
i have done this b4 i was going to store my car for winter.
full tank of gas keeps moisture away.
maybe it was a bad thing doing this?

keeping it full is ok, overfilling it is bad, when the fuel nozzle clicks off ,stop pumping it in. People top it off to round out the price and that could lead to raw fuel entering the canister.

I've had a very little problem with little missing and random idle problems as the original poster attributed to the charcoal cannister. I want to change this out myself but have never done it before. Can anyone point me in the right direction? And also where to get the new part (or the W203 part that)?

Here's what I found under the passenger quarter panel.
Looks roundish and is right next to the hole where you fill up for gas.
Is this the right part? Part number on the front says a2024701289
