I am about to go the TPS route - ouch.
I DIY my car. So your result will be important to me and others who DIY! I think that this issue needs a complete problem statement and resolution on this forum.

BTW I saw a post for u that u swap the 55n/a engine on C43,so the kick down problem came since u made the swap or few months later ? (The only reason im asking,bkoz i want to help my friend and he also did the swap,but i suggest that u both need a ecu file,because the ecu will get confused since u r running c43 ecu file on 55 engine,i told him that before but had no idea what he did later ) I think u should have a huge trq since u have 55 engine on all 43 parts

Forgot to mention that im 90% sure its from ur ecu file,since when u made the swap everything was ok and then later the porblem started to show up,plus it might be the c43 ecu file made that wrong connection with ur throttle response since u upgraded to a 55 engine and u still on 43 file so u have this 2 things to look after it

C43 has different engine from E55,different power and torque... My suggestion is that his wrong ecu made the tps get confused and store problem... so first he have to check the tps and have a 55 ecu tune

I kind of take this post personal, bc i am a technican that specializes in mercedes benz alone. and as a tech i have gone through years of schooling and training for mercedes benz specifically. what makes your diagnoisis over the internet any better from mine or any other? why because you may have worked a little bit on your own and a buddies mercedes as to me who has worked on 1000's upon 1000's of mercedes. and yes there is that problemmatic car in which we do have trouble with and have to "throw parts" at to elimate possible concerns, none of which is at cost to any customer in our shop until final diagnoisis is complete. i havnt once said i may know everything there is to know about mercedes but i have a slightly better advantage over most on this board. and i was just throwing out a helpful hint or idea, and that helpful hint or idea and had that been given to you throw my shop that would of cost $157.00. so ill just not comment on anymore posts to be helpful in the future.....and sir as for your diagnosis on telling him to call eurocharged (no problems with eurocharged btw, just saying dont just waste money) and get a tune..well a tune is at least $500 and stupid to "just do" when your not sure and still even with a new tune on the me, it still may act the same exact way as with the original tune due to a failing component that is still the problem... just saying.
and again it is the same m.e. i am at work now and just checked the part number of my M.E 99 c43 on the EPC which chico is what we use at the dealer to look up parts, with an 01 e55 in the shop right now and the part numbers are exactly. the c43 and 55 motor are the same engine, just different internals. both of them are m113 engines. spark plugs, fuel injectors, intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, etc are the same and cross over for both engines. im not going to get involved in a long overdrawn arguement with someone who is ignorant and doesnt have all the facts and tools to call other people wrong. im through commenting anymore. as i too must be ignorant.
