C43 diff specs/size?

Hello board,

does anyone have the complete data sheet of the diff for the C43? Like dimension, ratio, size of case/carrier, etc what ever the OEM data sheet or values are available.

I'm talking with phantom grip and they need some values to see/check if they can build us a LSD or lsd type system for our cars.

Thanks

All I know is that it has a 3.07. I don't know the inner dimensions of the pumpkin.

It is the medium size. You can install the Kleeman LSD kit.

Or you can get a Wavetrac with a better warranty for about half the price.

That's amazing news. A warranty that's better than Lifetime!

Lifetime doesn't mean anything if you have to jump through all sorts of hoops to get anything warranted and you alienate the people that sell your product. I've personally had to warranty out both a Quaife and a Wavetrac unit. Warrantying the Quaife came with over a months worth of back and forth proving that it was installed correctly, that it was sold by an authorized dealer, that it was the original purchasers and so on so forth. Wavetrac simply told me to send it in and they'd send out a new one. So with that, I will continue to stand behind my statement of saying Wavetrac has a better warranty.

I guess all of these bad experiences could be complicated by the supply chain. We have been responsible for distributing Quaife-BMW product worldwide for more than 4 years now, and have introduced over 1,800 BMW owners to the Quaife product. We had one single warranty event, and found Quaife here in the UK incredibly responsive. They even volunteer to rectify problems that are definitely NOT warranty.

Wavetrac reacted just the same way we and Quaife would. Something did not happen properly with your Quaife claim, and was surely caused by the supply chain.

You've been truly unlucky to have failures in both Quaife and Wavetrac products.

Shelling LSDs is not being unlucky. Repeatedly putting a product through it's paces is the environment these things are made for takes it's toll on anything and I'm not new to stuff breaking. Nothing will last forever but the key differentiator is that when something does break, what happens to get it warrantied. Perhaps I'm unlucky in that I ended up being part of the wrong supply chain but at the end of the day, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not saying Quaife doesn't make a good product and I've installed plenty over the years, I'm just saying I wouldn't want to have to deal with warrantying out another one.

As an aside, you perhaps should look at becoming a sponsor if you're going to be advertising on the boards. IB does not take this stuff lightly and you'll end up banned rather quickly.

Good Day
