Burns Stainless?

Just a quick question. Could anyone please tell me the correct connector that I need from Burns Stainless? I'm either doing the secondary cats and res. delete or going with the Eisenmann race exhaust route. I need to know the best connector that I need to purchase from Burns Stainless and if anyone knows where I can purchase Kleemann headers and an Eisenmann race exhaust for the C43? Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Thanks, but I did. Unfortunately the headers are long discontinued and he has none left. Very disappointed to hear that.

It appears that way. I will keep searching as I intend to find the Kleemann headers and Eisenmann race exhaust with round tips. There must be some out there somewhere.

Cheers

Thanks for the heads up. What types of products do you carry for the C43? I'm assuming the website is oetuning.com. Correct?

Kind Regards

Searched high and low and finally have an answer for you, although not the one you want:

You can still get the eisenmann muffler for the C43, it must be special ordered and will take a couple months

Here is the Eisenmann North America site: http://ind-distribution.com/main.php

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. Would it be better to keep the secondary cats with the Eisemann race exhaust? If I decide to keep the stock exhaust and remove the cats and res., what size connector pipe is required if I order it from Burns Stainless? Thanks.

Regards.

If I remember correctly, the Eisenmann is just a rear section, so it includes just enough tube to hook up to the tube coming out of the factory resonator right in front of the differential housing. If you elect to delete the secondary cats and resonator, you will need all of the components that one would need to do the same thing on the factory exhaust. I believe the tubes coming off of the exhaust manifolds are around 2.25" and the tube leaving the resonator is around 2.75". You can order the Eisenmann, give it a try with the cats and resonator in place and then delete those later if you are so inclined.

Thank you for the info. ECTurboGSX. I wanted to delete the secondary cats and res. at the same time as adding the Eisenmann race exhaust. I know that burnsstainless.com has the stainless tubing and I was hoping that someone might know the exact length and diameter of the necessary tubing needed to do this. Thanks again.

Cheers

Eisenmann C43 race exhaust with round tips custom ordered today. Will be ready in approx. 4 weeks. Big thanks to 503C43 ////AMG for supplying the link. Now to decide whether to take ECTurboGSX's advice and try it with the secondary cats and resonator in place before I remove them. Does anyone know if Ivan Nesukh's C43 in this video, has the secondary cats and resonator still intact or have they been removed? Now to track down the Kleemann headers.

Cheers

Thanks again. Ivan's car does sound loud but, also very appealing. I'm assuming he has the Eisenmann race and not the sport. Have you personally heard it in person? Is it borderline bylaw loud or just loud but, bearable? Would you recommend keeping the secondary's and resonator? Thanks again.

Cheers

He has the race exhaust and yes I have heard it in person many times. It is similar to the AMG exhaust in the way that it is fairly quiet until you get on it, then it ROARS.

It has a different tone to it, more exotic than the AMG muffler. It loses the classic "AMG gurgle" which I LOVE so much and is why I probably will never own one.

I can't recommend one or the other as I have never heard one with the secondaries or resonator installed.

I've compared the AMG minus secondaries and resonator to the Eisenmann race and I have to agree with you in regards to the sound. To be honest, I was torn about the decision on which way to go. I wish that I could hear both in person but, no C43's around my parts. With the secondary cats and resonator delete, do you experience any sputtering? Almost like there is a hole in the exhaust somewhere. In all the youtube videos, it sounds like there is a hole in the exhaust somewhere but, it could be the mic on the camera that is crapping out. any good vids that you could link? Thanks.

Regards

It is DRB's clip. It does sound pretty sweet. If I decide to cancel my Eisenmann special order, I'm guessing that I'll need 2.5" stainless piping. Is Burns Stainless the best place to order it from? What lengths and is it a Y connector that is normally used? Thanks.

Cheers

Sure. I purchased it in Great Britain, but the seller doesn't make them any more. No idea regarding the length, but it is pretty long as it comes from under the engine all the way down to the rear muffler
