40-100 MPH acceleration

I was going to go out and do a 0-60 MPH run like cm60k did but I felt like the times are being skewed due to quality of launch. I figured a 40-100 MPH run would paint a more accurate picture.

DISCLAIMER: This run was done on a private road

I clocked 10.6 seconds. Started in 2nd gear

For reference here is a video of a 2001 540i with tune, CAI, M60 manifold and cat back exhaust doing 40-100 mph in 10.9 seconds

Sick... Your 43 just keeps getting more bad ***. Keep it up and you going to need to upgrade to some 6-pistons like jarvis posted the other day.

Also that kind of acceleration is easier on the transmission too We have to remember our 43's are no longer young athletes

Big difference between the 2

The first video 40-100 MPH is around 7 seconds

The second video 40-100 MPH (65-160 KPH) is around 8 seconds

This has to be caused by the kick down used in the 2nd video as well as the ESP activated around 80 KPH. When I did my run I started in 2nd gear around 4000 RPM to avoid the kick down lag.

7 seconds =

How much RWHP are you putting down after all the mods you have done to the 55 motor?

Good noticed about kick down, agree with you,,

i have "382hp" in RW,, but im not sure if it the right reads....

That would mean you have around 480 HP at the crank, that can't be right.

Either way you have 1 powerful beast!

I went to him, to see my file,,

found-out: "382hp" Crank, and "337" RW....

That would be only 12% drive train loss

Stock C43's put down around 240 RWHP which is about 20% drive train loss. What dyno did you use and did you do SAE correcting on the result?

I am sure that all the engines are working fine. The light is on because the ESP is turned off. I don't know if that has an influence for a 40-100 acceleration, but it would certainly does for a 0-60 acceleration as you can dose the wheel spin for traction....

Im not that good clue with dynos..!!,,

i called the guy, he said its: Mustang "MD-250/DR"....

As DRB had stated that is not the CEL light, that is the orange triangle for ESP. When you turn ESP "off" it is on constantly unless ESP is activated at which point it flashes on/off/ CEL light would show up at the bottom right hand side of your dash, by where the high beam, brake pad wear indiactor, etc... are

ESP didn't activate so it doesn't matter. I clocked yours around 10 seconds I couldn't see your RPM's but it seemed like you started low and used the kickdown which should have made it take longer. I know you have the Eurocharged tune, what are your other mods?

seemed like a good run to me, you beat my time by .5-.6 seconds I find it hard to believe the Eurocharged tune makes the C43 that much faster. You had a little less fuel than I did but we are talking less than 50 lbs AND you didn't start in 2nd gear so that should have added time.

I don't get it

Looks like I have to schedule my tune prior to the exhaust install and do another run for comparison.
