Wheels/Offset?

Hey everyone. Will 18x10 et40 wheels fit the rear of a C43? Has anyone tried this size? Thanks.

Depends on your tire... you might get problems at the inside of the wheel housing when compressed and/or at a part of the cars body on the bottom when rebound.

Thanks for the info. I was planning on running 265/35's and I figured that it might be pushing it. I don't want to run into any rubbing issues as I'm dropping it with a Vogtland/Koni setup. I'm also running #4 pads in the rear with MBArts rear camber arms. I'm curious as to what the widest wheel/tire/offset setup is for a C43. Any input is appreciated.

Cheers

I am running 9.5 with 265/30 with ET of 35 in the rear and I am CLOSE to rubbing, there is someone one here who is running a 10" in the rear with 275 or 285 but I can't remember who it is and what rim/tire they are using or if it required modification to get it to fit.

The problem is all these tires on the market have a wide range... with same tire you can have a difference of about 40mm (1.5'').
I was running 285/30 on 10x18 in passt. Now my new tire is of same dimension but it is 309mm wide (I don't know why they still call it 285, in my opinion it is a 305 size).
I put it on an 11x18 wheel with offset 24. Maybe I will go down to offset 20 but I don't think so. Still preparing my fenders...

What are you doing to the fenders? Widening or solving a rust problem?

Those tires won't fit with original fenders.

Concerning the 265/35... take care about the rolling circumference. I drive that dimension as winter tires and they fit fine. A friend of mine had same dimension as summer tires and he had problems with ABS/ESP electronics. So ask the tire manufacturer for rolling circumference befor you buy.

Guys,

Quick thread revival... I'm looking at a set of rims for the car. Can you tell me if they'll fit:

Front: 18x8.5 ET+44 5x112 bolt pattern
Rear: 18x9.5 ET +46 5x112 bolt pattern

Thanks in advance for the answer!

Won't fit at the inside. You will need spacers front and rear (10mm should be fine)

I'm running 18x10 in the back. I've never dealt with spacers and don't even know where I'd find them. These were on the car when I bough tit. I've removed the wheel and it's mounted directly to the rotor, if that says anything.

Edit: AMG r129 SL55 2-piece, staggered, 18x8.5 in the front. I THINK the offset is 25

Good and sensible choice which will give you NO problems at all and will fit perfectly Just expect to have a slighly harsher ride....

It's for this reason that I'm pretty sure I'm going to be selling my 2-piece Aeros! Sick of the overly harsh ride! Probably missing some HP and MPG because of these heavy/wide wheels too!

I already have 18'' and and fairly low-profile tires so that should not change much hopefully. I don't mind the harsh ride anyway, I'm still young enough

I really like the rear wing on your C43. What brand is it if you don't mind me asking? Thx

Lorinser. I forget exactly which one. Someone who had this car before me put some sweet stuff on it. And took immaculate care of it.

Thanks! I have to say that your spoiler is one of the nicer one's that I've seen. It looks very sharp and curves well with the C43's lines.
