w220 AMG Staggered wheels on a C43?
I'm looking at a set of wheels, this style:

Staggered 18" wheel from the w220 S class, 18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear, offset 46f, 44r I think. Has anyone ran this and liked them? Any offset/fitment issues? Spacers needed? They're off of an S class. While I'd prefer the MB2, these are available locally right now off Craigslist.
Thanks

I also was thinking about running wheels with spacers. Our wheel choices are slim so it can be done. I'm on the fence regarding spacers so my search continues...

Well, so it turns out a buddy bought me a set of these for my car as a "surprise", but the tires on there are done, so I can't run them right now anyways. I'm perfectly fine with the stock or MB2 wheel, as I think they fit the car.
I didn't do enough research on the w220 wheels before he bought them, so now I'll have to act all surprised and then be like "oh ****, they won't really fit/work".
I can put the money towards refinishing mine or picking up MB2s, but want to wait until the euro suspension is in place to see what size will look best.

I need buddies that will buy me wheels for my car... ![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I remember quite some time ago a guy selling a set of these wheels that had been mounted to a 202. Spacers for sure, and probably you should get proper wheel bolts too. I believe the larger Benzes use 14mm bolt holes, but the 202 uses 12mm bolts. Need to check out what RAD offers in that regard, you need to match up the 14mm ball seat with 12mm bolts, plus of course figure out the proper bolt length.

He's a little ridiculous that way, impulsive. I'm almost positive they won't look right without spacers, so I think I'll break the news and sell them and get MB2s or have mine refinished, or both, ha.
99, thanks for the link drop, I'll check them out.
Saab, what's RAD?

They might not even fit properly without spacers - the inside of the wheel, or the tire bulge, might contact the suspension components on the inside of the fender. I don't know for certain, but it's educated conjecture.
Follow the link I posted in my previous post - RAD makes wheel bolts that would make the wheels fit, ie. the 14mm ball seat on a 12mm diamter bolt.

Honestly, I think I'm just going to re-sell them and put the $$ towards either refinishing mine or getting the 18's. Really want to wait and see what my car looks like on the euro suspension before deciding on which size wheel

It should give you a good idea of what your car would look like on Euro spec springs

Thanks Jason, yeah, had already seen that post. The car is now on the euro springs, saw it yesterday, looks MUCH better. Hoping the rear settles a bit more as its still kinda high, #1 pads all around.
