Unhappy Newbie Needs your Help!

Greeting to all!

Before 1 month i bought used and japan imported C43 AMG..
The vehicle is almost perfect! low mileage.. less then 80000 Km (50000 miles)
everything is working , NO leaking , NO vibration , NO strange or funny noises , NO electric failures, replaced most of the consumable parts with OEM : Spark plugs, flushed gear oil, changed petrol filter..etc.

Stopped the car for two days only & today i got this thing that spoiled my day! tho, the car has no issues at all till now.
but am worried that it would be something that required to be checked and repaired. if any 1 got any clew or idiea about it i would be glad to read it.

Thanks & Regards.

Welcome aboard the forum. Looks like you have a great C43. It seems that Japan has some very fine vehicles stashed away in that part of the world and I'm not talking only MB's

If you have a problem you need to explain a bit more. Also your photo was removed so we have no idea what it is....!!!!

Looks like you need a oil, filter change and service, not unless you have proof that is was done recently and the workshop forgot to reset the counter. Normally you can do around between 10-15k kms between services, but it depends if you drive in city traffic (more frequent services needed) or open highways.

I don't know if Japanese market C43's are different than the others. I doubt it though.

I have done a major service recently when i bought the car, but as you said most probably the resetting part was forgotten
so there is nothing actually to be worried about, DAMN i almost thought to sell the vehicle!

Thanks lot, now i can live in peace

If you've already done the service then you just need to reset FSS. That's the counter that tells you when to service/change fluids. Google it, simple procedure that involves turning the key in and off

Not as obvious as it should be. I tried many times using different possibilities but with no success. The only way is with Star.

when I used to have my c43, I saw my indie tech reset it pretty simply, but I don't remember the procedure. I think it involved some button pushing on the cluster.

Thank you every1 for the support.
The service indicator was reseted following this guidelines (taken from Benzworld.org)

1 - Get in the car and close all the doors.

2 - Put the key in the ignition and turn it to position #2 (Dont start the engine).

3 - Press the odometer reset button (O) 2 times so that the FSS countdown (Service Indicator) appears.

4 - Turn the key back to position 0 (off, Dont remove it).

5 - Press and hold the reset button (O) while turning the key back to the #2 position. Keep holding the reset button until you hear a beep between 5 to 10 seconds.

Everything should be reset. And from my experience it need to be done quick otherwise it wont work.

Regards...
