Who needs C43 rotors...

My 1999 C43 is about due for some C43 rotors, so I started checking where to buy them. So far, only the dealers have them and they are quite expensive. Wanting another option, I started making some calls and have a major brake mfg. (Br...) considering making some. This, of course, depends on the volume.

Who here would be interested in buying some rotors(front) & what do you think is a reasonable price? These would just be oem replacement size.

Please reply to this thread with your Club202 ID & target price for the set:

1. KWiK, $200

I also need both front and rear rotors and pads. i also have found dealers to be expensive. I would be willing to pay $200 as well for front set. This seems very fair provided the brakes are as good as stock C43 AMG rotors.

They won't be as good as stock rotors at $200. The rotors are multipiece with stainless steel pins separating the rotor from the hat. I doubt that this process could be duplicated at $100 a piece, at any volume below thousands of units.

But, at $200, they might "good enough for you".

while your waiting for your quote from your guy, i'm not sure if you saw this site. worth calling maybe cause they listed rear rotors for C43 but didn't say anything about the fronts. might be worth calling to see what they say.

Already have called them, they don't have fronts. Plus the price they have for the rears is quite expensive...

I have found tons of sites that will sell rear rotors... but the only fronts I have been able to find is the MB ones.

I know that it's been a couple months since this has been posted, but I am in need of some new front rotors. I took my C43 on the racetrack (for a drivers school) and wore out my original front rotors.

Thanks for your reply.

KWIK,

You said you have some suppliers for aftermarket rear rotors. I am in need of some good rear rotors. Where did you find these rear rotors.

Thanks,

Jeff

I haven't had much luck finding fronts. The best I have found is 15% off the dealers very high price.
