c43t + e55 parts car...

- '99 C43t (55,000miles/90,000km's)
- '99 E55 (100,000miles/160,000km's)...has hail damage, included 2 sets of factory 18" monoblocks, some recent service recorsd and is a very strong runner that will be the "parts" car
(see pics attached)
The plan is to do the motor swap over the winter.
I don't want to keep the e55 around for too long as it's taking up space, but don't want to miss anything important before it gets sold for scrap.
- 5.4 motor/computer/trans
- front brakes/calipers (OE rotors are almost new and are needed for the c43t)
- climate control display (the display in the c43t doesn't always work)
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should remove from the e55 before I get rid of it? Any cool things that can be swapped over or should be kept as backup parts for the c43t?
So far I have only done the following on the c43t:
- 18x8/18x9 monoblocks
- Bridgestone RE970as 225/40 and 255/35 tires
- removed the dark tint on the rear windows
- added Llumar "Air 80" to all windows on the vehicles
- installed new air filters and cabin filter
Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Yes, from Canada. No C43t were sold new in Canada....the car came to me via Japan. So pretty much a german spec car. It appears to have all options.

I may just use the engine and trans from the e55 even though they have higher km's on them. The e55 pulls strong and the trans shifts nicer than the c43.
I can't wait to get more TQ in the c43!

that E55 is gorgeous! but that driver's door looks like it has some very serious rust issues going on underneath.
if it's really just some hail damage I would actually swap both engines. keep the 43 engine in the E55 and use the E55 as secondary car!

If anyone has any ideas on parts to keep before the e55 goes away, please chime in. Thanks

Need to swap Engine only, but first, you have to check 2 things:-
1) what injectors on both Engines..
2) check if C43 gearbox is running good, without slipping or delay shifting, and important to check if there is oil sneaks to the TCU..
ZAYED,,

you can transplant the E55 cluster, steering wheel (with working buttons) and head unit (even if it has COMAND) into the C43 with minor modifications to the paneling.

this is a genuine 300 cluster for prefacelift w210 E55 AMG, originally dials were all black from factory but AMG also reliesed a 300 white dial edition cluster.
I also have some of these dials at home, genuine VDO's and NOT fakes!
when the day comes i will replace my 280 dial with a 300

most facelift w210 e55 amg cars with tiptronic had a standard 280km/h speedo in black, special editions had a 300 speedo.
amg reliesed some rare special parts back in the day fitted to some special cars.

For a true E55 -> C43 swap, you'd need these swapped over so you can start the E55 engine with the E55 ECU without the need of remapping the C43 ECU.
Downside is that you won't be able to order a replacement key from the dealer anymore for the C43 since VIN numbers won't match.

, C43T is soo rare & not easy to find..
