just picked up a C43

Totaled my 1998 S320 and picked up a 1999 C43 with the check I got. Quite the upgrade. Only a few things I really lost going down from an S-Class. I've also owned a 1992 400E and 1992 600SEL. I figure a Benz will be the only car I ever own for the rest of my life lol. Pictures to come.

Excellent choice! I may be biased.

I love the w140! But I do agree I'd absolutely own a C43 over any W140.

Tell us more about the car. Welcome aboard!

I have a question. I have done plenty of research but I cannot seem to find a legitimate yes or no answer. Do OEM Mercedes-AMG Monoblock II's exist in 19" form? Possibly optional on a late-model W140 or early-model ML55? I swear I have seen pictures online but no one ever shows their tire size to confirm and I can't find any part numbers online.

Unless the car got some nice mods, why is it everyone ask for pictures? They all look the same. I just don't get it sorry.

Fair enough on the wheels.

speed43; How boring would forums be without pictures? But you are right, I just have a run-of-the-mill black on black C43 lol, I'll post some after I detail it.

Edit: Does anyone know the paint code difference between the two blacks for the C43?

Why does anyone do anything? We're all just people living our lives, it's all the same. Why would any of us ever care about what anyone else is saying or doing?

I've seen tons of beautiful women. Why would I bother to see yet another one?

[QUOTE=Sulaco;6259940}I've seen tons of beautiful women. Why would I bother to see yet another one?[/QUOTE]

Sorry Sulaco but beautiful woman canNOT be compared to a c43. C43s have:
Same body
Same basic colors
Same everything pretty much.

Beautiful woman have...... You know the list. No comparison at all.

What ruins the c43s is that people want to keep it stock. If they were to venture out a little we would have some really cool to look at c43s. That's what I did, I said heck to what MB and AMG did.
I wanted true dual exhaust and that's what I did. I wanted something different than other c43s so I modded wheel wells, built-in functioning hood scoop, built-in rear spoiler, and I removed side moldings, and made my own front bumper lip from a Beamer add on, changed grille and headlights etc...
May not be everyone's else's taste but it's mine AND it's different. I get compliments all the the time from young to old people.
I just wish there would be more people that would do this. Than I can look forward to seeing pics of their cars and I can get more ideas.....

now that you have your own unique C43, do you mind share some of your cool pictures of your car.
maybe the rest of us with stock version cars can pick up some new ideas to mod our cars differently?
if a member's car is full stock, i don't mind, i still wanna see it.

the most brave people on this w202 AMG section is Popeye and some Russian guy rebuild his car from scratch after a fire.

I do appreciate the W202 and all Mercedes, AMG or not. Mercedes is a company that does things right the first time and builds on success only to outdo itself.

I will probably never buy another Brand of car again except Mercedes. I understand "The best or nothing." now. I want a stock 4Matic Wagon so bad.

My second w202 in the stable is a 98' c240 which is stock except for an Avangarde grille and 17' Monos for the summer. Winter she uses OE 15' with snow tyres. I like the vehicle like that and no other mods in the books except perhaps to install the old OE suspension I removed from the 43...

I'm torn between fixing up my old 1980 240d as a daily driver, or getting a late model C230k or C280 for daily driver once I get to restore my C43's.

So, I've read there were about 1,200 C43's imported over three years. How many of them ended up in Washington State? I've owned the car for two weeks now and I've seen a dozen of them on the road, even a few C36's.

You sure they were actual 43s and not just look a like? I never seen another c43 in Chicago but I've seen C36s.
