AMG hood replacement emblem

Hi folks,

Looking to remove the MB emblem on my hood and replace it by a flat AMG one. I was looking on eBAY and there is a lot of different models and size.

-What size is the best fit for a W202? They advertise 1-7/8" , 2" , etc...

-Have you installed one?
-Any rust issues?
-Any quality one to suggest??

Thanks for your input!!

I'll let you know how it fits/looks as I just ordered one off eBay and am waiting for it to arrive. I believe the one I bought was a 1 7/8"

Okay, so I got the "kit" in the mail yesterday. My first impression is that the adapter and the badge itself are pretty high quality pieces. The badge could be a little more finished around the edges but I'm being really picky here. The adapter fits the hood recess perfectly and the badge is just the right size as you can barely see the outline of the indent. The biggest complaint with the kit is that the badge is flat on the backside. It does not have the two pins the OEM badge has to hold it in place. I would think that they would at least include some double sided tape. Luckily I had some in the garage. Anyway, if someone can let me know where I can host the image I'll post it up. I have the OEM one as well but decided to go with the AMG one since the OEM emblem is slightly larger ( at least the one I have) and would eventually leave a mark if I ever wanted to put the star back.
