I managed to pop out one of the old bushings but I ruined two brand new ones trying to put them in :\
This is kinda frustrating. Theres no way in hell im gonna buy a
$150 tool just to use it one time. I really dont know when ill have to use that tool again.
I made a DIY tool and my biggest challenge is when putting the new bushing back in, its hard to make it go in completely straight.

Oups just realized that the bush is on the axle carrier and no way can you get a vice in situ up there

Ricco I PMed you. I never got any calls from you bro...
Diy tool is pretty straight forward you'll need a high tensile M12x120 cap bolt and nut or similar. suitable thick wall(~3mm+) tube 42mmID for the outer tube and 38mmOD ~2mm wall for the inner tube. super thick washers ~10mm. Good lube. as can be seen in the photo one portion of the pipe needs to be shaped to the axle carrier as this is not a flat surface to pull against, some care has to be taken otherswise it will deform your puller. If your short on time $150 doesn't sound that bad.
Cheers

One of mine is pretty loose after a bang from the right rear when i threw the boot in at about 55kph and had that serious boot up the **** that 5.4ltr seems to want to deliver on demand...
The car still drives ok, minor wandering though, which is much worse under heavy throttle.
