Control Arm Bushing - Control Arm to Knuckle Assembly
Had to transition from the mirror discussion(very helpful and informative) real quick guys as i need help
[I]I have to replace these. they are on order.. my question is this.. I currently have K-Mac Bushings front and rear(Camber,Caster,Toe) does the extractor tool they provide able to press these out??? i have to remove the caliper anyway(probably paint them for a machined look as they look trash currently) would i have to remove the plate/disc behind the rotor to use the tool to extract that bushing??????
These are for the rear(4 all together)
[I]i attempted to use the extractor for this one in particular,maybe i had ran out of patience dealing with this because the extractor tools base was getting bent or distorted rather around the lca base and didnt want to damage if i had to use again and chose to put the torch to this bearing and ended up getting it out but ultimately the cap is from the bushing is stuck in.. id assume a chisel or something will get this out.
I have rear rotors and pads and the Control arm bushing on order.. soon as they come in i want to put everything back together and finish putting my coilovers on so i can tackle the front ends suspension.
Pics of the interior and headliner(gotta take the sunroof cover out and scrape the glue off as i did the headliner) progress soon(maybe tonight just to show where the progress is as the moment).. as i keep skipping around different tasks on the car depending on weather or parts coming in.

First picture. Can't tell if it's front or rear. Removing front brake shield is easy. Remove caliper, remove rotor, remove stub axle and you can unscrew and remove the shield.
For the rear that's a different story. You need to first remove the caliper. To go further you need a bearing puller to extract the half axle. You then have access to the shield.

My Fault.. everything pictured is for the rear.. i haven't even begun to tackle the front yet.. as i ran into horrible rotors/pads... and in disconnecting everything to put my new bushings and coilovers i noticed this control arm knuckle assembly bushing

Damn the sale fell through after the seller sent me an e-mail this morning saying that the left mirror assembly was broken. I cancelled the order. Just the loom will be arriving in the next days, so I need to look around for a new set of w210 folding mirrors/blinkers
Without proper tools, those bushings will take forever. I had the hardest time with mine.
Id suggest getting the right tool for those plus the rear shield if you dont wanna go as far as taking it off, loosen the three screws that hold it that way you can rotate it for better visibility.
If you are gonna make your own tool with sovkets andnlong bolts, make sure you but high grade steel. Its a must

Broke a punch in the inside the area where the hose go trying to hammer out the piston. smh sending it to rock auto as a core for the centric rears they have
Wanted a more aggressive drop than what springs offer, tho ive read "PJMAK" had a bad experience with these a few yrs back i decided to give them a try.. didn't want to go the KW route being this machine wont get much track use if any
Maybe my alignment guy didnt make the best of these. I was tucking tire a bit and at that height the adjustable bushings didnt really give me much flexibility.
If your car sits higher itll be worth it.
Btw I have rear calilers if you need but ive been so busy, just had our baby a week ago. Not much free time and I know I also promissed you other larts.
The calipers are at my own garage so id be able to send you those quick.
i was on pelican parts and it reads (312x28) for fronts for the S500 fronts and the same for E500 front rotors... am i missing something or looking for the wrong replacement rotors? i understand it our stock rotors are (334x32)...
i ask cuz i seen u mentioned this as well "but not recommend to sacrificing of (4mm) thick on each Rotor..!,
cause pistons need to pushing the pads more forward to touch the Rotor Ring..!!,

i don't think i want to tuck tire but def want the fender and tire gap to be maybe a 1 finger gap. and hoping the K-macs help tbh.. we will see, ill def let you know how it feels when the car is off the jackstands.. As for the calipers ill let u know in a couple days for sure, and no worries still tackling the front suspension so its no rush on the other things as i have yet to get to that bridge! congrats on the child!

No, maybe i misunderstood what a few of you guys were speaking about... its to my understanding or lack there of lol that we were speaking about replacement rotors for the c43 and the cost vs cheaper alternatives... so that's how i got to looking at these part #'s u mentioned in the thread.. i think this is where is started

again maybe i misunderstood what was being discussed at this particular part... but for better understanding i def need front rotors and was looking for an alternative. but if there isnt any i would pay the $$$$$ for the stock rotors.. forget about from which models those part #s i provided,
i forward these #s to choose between "plan or drilled" Rotors & for correct fitment,,
you can also stick with stock Rotors, it's you CALL..

just so i understand correctly.. are u saying those rotors wont work on my current platform?? and you were just mentioning the part #'s of the other rotors to show which models had plain or drilled?? or they will work theyre just smaller in size???? apologies for the confusion
