The least expensive C43 in the world!

Hey everyone,

My name is Alex and I normally post in the E55 section as I own a 2003.

I just bought this 99 C43 and it was a fantastic deal to say the least. Many more videos on this car to come, feel free to subscribe and join in the fun.

Nice work Alex, I'm not shocked the motor & trans works just as it should. Would be sick to see this compete in a $500 car challenge.

Alex I've loved your E55 videos! So happy to see you getting a C43. If you don't 55 swap it, you're missing out!

AND I thought I had the cheapest ever when I bought one 3 years ago for 2200. Nevermind...

my god, what has been done to that poor car. holy hell.

if you want to get it fixed up, I have the front and rear bumpers covered, in very decent shape.

a friend local to me totaled his 98 C43 and has a lot of various parts good to go.

check the VIN, if that car was originally red, it's an extremely rare find and someone has ruined it.

i'm really hopeful this car ends up restored...

please please please put it up on a lift and give us some pictures underneath...

i see dual exhaust and am very interested to see what is lurking under there.

nice ride for $200. i would think about making it a track car and forget about the restore.

I bet you must be very happy with your low cost purchase
car pulls strong and sounds grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat, your smile on camera says it all!

this car could be the villain car in the next Batman movie.
you can rent it out to Hollywood stunt team.

what are your plans for this c43?
drive the snot out of it or fix it up?

maybe you should contact previous owners asking them who modified your car in a tacky way with the straight pipe tailpipes?
Car looks like an american muscle car from the behind.

please post new videos when you have new updates or do projects for this car.

good luck with it

Yeah, get it up on a lift and check the underside. I'm sure you will find some rust. How much? Guess that will be the surprise

looks like these guys found a cheap easy way to remove bondo. sounds dangerous though, im surprised they dont put warnings on their website like one use in well ventilated area, use flame retardant clothing, googles, gloves, shoes, have a friend with a fire extinguisher on site and directly behind you etc etc etc.

maybe the restore isn't out of the question.

sorry, should have added this in the previous reply.

also can you get a better look at that engine? a lot of c43 have 5.4 swaps and with all the mods there...

and if you got a c43 swap with 5.4 for $200... then

you'll need to get at the engine numbers to be sure

there is a stamp on the crankcase. its like dot matrix if i remember so you'll have to rub off any dirt to see it. that will match your engine number to your vin, but there should also be some part numbers stamped around that would tell you too.

If you decide to fix it up, I've got a complete 1999 C43 motor with 190K Kms minus the throttle body and air box. Steering pump, ac compressor and alternator all included. Asking $1K USD

well, the motor was one of the things on the car that was already just fine. he doesn't need a motor, he needs a boatload of cosmetic parts

I agree as he needs a complete shell among other things. Based on how the body is, I'm betting that the current motor won't last much longer.

You are right I dont log on that much. But I do try to update as much as possible. I am filming with the 202 C43 tomorrow to show everyone what kind of condition the under side is in and all the mechanical parts.

I think I may know what direction this car will go so stay tuned. It should be out Thursday and Ill post it here Thursday night.

Thanks everyone for watching. Thanks for the motor offer but I think Im ok for now.
