New C36 Purchase
Hey guys. I thought that I'd share my newest purchase that I made just over an hour ago for my eldest son's 18th birthday present. An all original '96 AMG C36 with a low 154K Kms. Paint isn't the greatest but everything is in good working order with zero rust and factory genuine AMG rear wing. The water pump failed and the owner let me take it for $3500 CAD which is equivalent to $2800 USD. ��

Thx Sulaco. Yes, he is very lucky and also appreciates AMG history. Now the search is on for my youngest son who's now 16. Hopefully another W202 AMG surfaces soon!

Very lucky son indeed. I hope he takes good care of this nice piece of AMG history. It does look very decent and low mileage too.

i bet you are the only family on the block with w202 AMG cars

how can that c36 have factory zenons?
were they retro fitted?

Could be one of the first xenons options, but not 100% sure. Other manufacturers did start offering this superior lighting system around that time frame. It was very expensive and not totally trouble free

I stand corrected! Although xenons were available, I assumed they were xenons due to the fact it is equipped with the headlamp wiper assemblies. Not yet familiar enough with the C36.

There's almost no W202 AMG cars around in my city. So few were shipped to Canada and most that were, are now extinct.

great gift. a really one of a kind. i think that the c36 more than the c43 will one day jump in value.

That's interesting that you mentioned that as here in Canada, the C36 is currently valued at $13.5K CAD. Hagerty's is a company that lists current market value for every vehicle. Their five year forecast for the C43 is approx. $20K-$25K CAD. Hopefully their prediction holds true!
