Correct and probably valve springs too. I heard that the intake manifold was also worked upon, but not 100% sure. The intake does have a AMG stamp/label if I'm not mistaken which could be proof of it being different...
Checked on the EPC and have found that the w202 C43, w208 CLK55, w210 E55 use the same intake manifold starting with #A113 140 07 01 and later changed to #A113 140 07 01. The basic w208 CLK430 has the same intake part #s. That does not mean that AMG may not take the AMG engines and "breathed" upon the intake to improve flow without changing part id #s which would be somewhat weird for German engineering standards.

From MBUSA first press release on the C43
Priced at $52,750, the mid-size C43 features a modified version of the new-generation V8 engine from the full-size E430 sedan. With higher-lift modular camshafts and a freer-flowing intake and exhaust system, horsepower is boosted to 302 (up 10 percent over the standard 275 hp figure) for superb overall performance, including 0-60 mph acceleration of 5.9 seconds.

you can get VDO aftermarket gauges in ivory white, the same looks like your AMG dials.
VDO has 5 bar oil pressure gauges and other goodies, look on ebay and you will find
Carlsson has a cool custom fit

where do you live? mercedes engines are really cheap in the us. you could probably pick up a 5.0 m113 for under 500. while its not the 5.4, its still better than the 4.3. and i think the 5.0 opens itself up to more modification than a 4.3.
